Third person POV
A few days passed since Hugo and Felicia had become the first bus drivers of the Zale Valleys, while resting on the terrace of his home, Russell received a letter from Aren through Sylas. The letter wasn't a letter of threats or insulting, but it was a letter of wanting to talk with him in a place called the Western Sapaq Landmark Temple, a place of border and a sacrifice temple to the mountain goddess Chaema. That place was just 1 kilometer west of Garion City, and it can be accessible by a dirt road. Aren promised to be good to be and simply wanted to talk to him in person in that secluded place in the mountains. Though skeptical, Russell decided to give him another chance by granting his request, hopping onto his bus, and driving to that location with the help of his Navigacion. But before he could go, he explained to Kelly, Rai, Ria, Azalea, Adrian, and Leon that he would be meeting with someone, before leaving the house on his bus before any of them would raise a question about it.
And then, later by 10:03 a.m., Russell arrived at that place, got off, and went up to that mountain spot, where Aren was sitting on one of the front steps of the derelict temple waiting for him. The young bus driver also brought his sword with him just in case. "Hi there, Aren-san…" he said to him. Aren heard that and looked at him with a solemn, melancholic expression. "Oh, Russell May, you're here…"
"So…what do you want to talk about?"
Aren then approached Russell and sat next to him on the next descending front step, and Russell sat next to him with a concerned look on his face.
"Well, Mr. May," Aren started with a guilty look, "You were right, all along. I was wrong, stupid, and selfishly egotistical."
He then went on to explain that after the foiled wedding to Elai, his reputation and image were shattered. Most of the closest aides and advisors distanced themselves from him, and as a result, he was alienated from everyone, leaving him all alone in his office and castle. This, according to him, took a toll on his well-being, especially on his emotional and mental health, causing him to be depressed in guilt, shame, and regret for his selfish actions. Because of all that, he reflected on his actions and decided to change for the better to make this current life worth it.
