Third person POV
Meanwhile, while on a break from his duties as a ferry captain, Gerald went to his family home on the outskirts of Kate-Raler with a traditional basket full of fresh fish and vegetables for them. Upon entering his home's front door, he said, "I'm home…"
His mother, Dorotka Aethels, was making salted fish when her son arrived home at this hour, and she was happy when that happened, which happened at least a few times a week. "Oh, sweetie."
Gerald then did a quick, embracing hug with her, and Dorotka noticed what he had brought.
"Are those fish from Kolaz Hon, right?" Dorotka asked.
"Yeah, for cheap a few days ago," replied her son brightly."
"A few days ago? Did you keep them in that freezer on your ferry?"
"Yes."
Gerald then handed the basket to his mother.
Dorotka was delighted because she would cook a delicious meal this lunchtime.
"How's pa?" Gerald asked.
"He's at the seas," replied Dorotka while sorting the basket's contents.
"Oh, okay, how's big brother?"
"Edvin's at work."
"Oh, okay then…"
This family had a high household income despite living like a working middle-class family.
