Chapter 3

Adele felt like her heart was about to explode of beating harder.

*knock-knock*

"Your highness,could you please open the room of your room, I have something important to tell you".Marie asked by standing at the door of Adele's room.

"Um...Sure!".Adele rose up from the sofa and opened the door for Marie.

"Queen Eleanor is calling for you to have dinner with her please come downstairs after freshening up yourself".Marie said by bowing down her head.

"Hm...I'll come"

"Your highness! I humbly request you to please behave well while having dinner with the Queen, she is...not in a good mood!".Marie's tension was reflecting all over face.

"Hm? What happened Marie? Is everythin 'kay?".Adele asked by gently patting on her shoulders.

"Oh! It's nothing! Please get freshened up quick, I'll go downstairs".Marie quickly bowed her head, then rushed down the staircase hurriedly.

After she left, Adele stood there confused with so many doubts pounding down her head.

What happened to Queen Mother? Why's she callin me to have dinner with her? We dinner together only at the day of the death anniversary of father...Then why?!

Hm...Anyway I should quickly take a shower and go downstairs to the dining room

Adele then freshened up herself and went to the massive dining room of the mansion which was decorated with shimmering chandeliers,  elegant curtains of pure linen and exquisite furnitures. The walls of the room were coated with luminating gold paint which flashened over the huge dining table.

As Adele reached the dining table she bowed her head to Eleanor and greeted her politely.

"A very good evening to Queen Mother"

"Good Evening Princess Adele"

Eleanor pointed towards the chair next to her and said with a blissful smile on her face "Please sit down Princess".

Adele nodded and sat next to Eleanor.

"So...how was first day of university? Princess?".Eleanor asked with raising her eyebrows.

"It was quiet good"

"I see...quiet good huh?".Eleanor took the tablet kept on the dining table, gripping her gaze at Adele and ordered to Marie.

"Miss Marie could you pass this tab to Princess"

"Surely, Your Majesty".Marie passed the tablet to Adele with trembling hands.

As Adele took the tablet from Marie, she wondered why her hands were trembling, soon enough, she understood the reason.

When Adele looked on the tablet, it had a news article about her, with the headline written in large, bold letters 'AMBERHIGH UNIVERSITY: PRINCESS ADELE PICKED UP A FIGHT WITH A FELLOW OMEGA', she felt a sudden shock in her heart, then she slowly scrolled down the screen to become even more shocked. She saw a picture of her holding Julia's arm at the hallway of university from morning.

Adele was turned into a stone statue in flesh out of shock. She never had expected that the misunderstanding which had happened with Julia at the university would eventually turn out to be a topic for the news channels.

Even though Adele was cornered into that intensive situation, she felt a bit relieved, when she saw that Julia's face was not showing in the article's picture as she had her head turned around.

I don't want Julie to go through all this...if her face had not been hidden in this article the news reporters would surely had made up a mess in her life...God's sake! Her face was not showi-

*clap*

"Again! How was your first day at university Princess! Quiet good huh?!".Eleanor slammed her hand at the dining table, making a loud sound out of the large-stoned ruby ring she had wore in her index finger, then she sprang up from her chair and went closer to Adele.

"On the very first day of university you're picking up fights Princess? What are you? A GANGSTER?!".Eleanor said furiously.

"It was not a fight Queen Mother, it was a misunderstanding".Adele stood up from her chair, then bowed down her head down by apologizing to Eleanor.

"I am really sorry Queen Mother, I would never repeat this mistake ever again"

Eleanor fumingly held onto Adele's chin and raised her head up towards her face.

"Sorry?! Do you know Princess that how hard it is to clear up all this mess? What were you thinking while doing this? Did you forget that you are an EMBIRAN? A ROYALTY?!"

Without giving an ear to Adele's words, Eleanor kept on infuriating her by rebuking her continuously. For a while, Adele kept her patience, but then she lost it.

Being irritated, Adele shoved off Eleanor's hand from her chin, then spoke to her in a raging voice.

"Queen Mother! I told you that it was a misunderstanding then why are yo-"

*Sigh*

"Wait! Who am I telling this to? The person who abandoned me only at my age of one? Why would you believe my words when you actually never considered me as your daughter? I'm sorry? My bad...haha"

Adele's beautiful deep blue eyes were filled with tears of unspeakable sorrow and frustration, without even realizing, those tears rolled down through her lovely, fair, red cheeks.

Watching Adele in tears, Eleanor understood the foolishness of being harsh the whole time, towards her one and only, precious daughter, she then decided to apologize to Adele for accusing her because of the news article.

Eleanor gently placed her hand over Adele's shoulders with her warm green eyes looking at her fondly.

"Princess Adele, I am really-"

*grab*

Adele held onto Eleanor's wrist by glaring at her with fierce eyes.

"No Queen Mother! I can't listen to you anymore...because...let me ask you first?  Were you here on my first day of university today?"

Eleanor stood their without uttering a single word from her mouth.

"No, isn't it? Hm..then..were you here to  give me birthday wishes on my eighteenth birthday? The answer is no! I know!..hic..You were never there in any part of my life!..hic..And..You are the most irresponsible mother in the world!"

Adele gazed at the epic and magnificent framed family picture of the three of them when she was a newborn infant, it was placed at a wide portion where the imperial staircase of the mansion was divided into opposite directions.

Watching their family picture, Adele wiped off the tears from her eyes, then she turned to Eleanor and spoke in a depressed voice.

"Atleast this time...please act like a responsible mother for me and help me to clear up this mess...please! I beg you"

After that, Adele stormed towards her room and came downstairs with the keys to her lamborghini, then stomped towards the main door of the mansion. Following Adele, Eleanor and Marie tensely rushed towards the main door.

"Princess Adele where are you going?".Eleanor asked with worried eyes.

Adele furiously turned to Eleanor, then replied in a rude tone.

"I will go wherever I want! A irresponsible mother like you does not have the right to ask me where am I going or not?!".Adele went out of the mansion, unlocking her fancy, purple lamborghini with the keys.

"Your highness!-"

"No Miss Marie, let her go".Eleanor said by blocking her hand in front of Marie.

"But...Your Majesty-"

"She is right Miss Marie, I am the most irresponsible mother in the world...I am...hic...THE WORST!"

After Adele left, Eleanor burst into tears. Her lovely green eyes were wholely swollen of tearing up for hours. Marie stayed there by her side and consoled her with kind, affirmative words.

Soon enough, Eleanor wiped off her tears and said by looking outside the window.

"Um...Miss Marie you should leave now, it's getting dark and your daughter is alone at home, it's no good! You should go home"

"But-"

"No buts! And...when you leave, please take those sweets which I have kept in my room along with you, okay! It's for your daughter, Julia!".Eleanor said with a gleaming smile.

"But why Your Majesty?".Marie humbly asked her.

"Why not! She is such a sweet girl and also! She returned from her grandma's home after TWELVE YEARS...remember! I atleast wanted to do this much for her".Eleanor nodded assuringly as she said.

Marie gratefully bowed down her head and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the queen, then she left the mansion, carrying the bag of sweets, with wearing the utmost joyous look on her face.

On the way to home, Marie's mind was still lingering about the argument happened between Eleanor and Adele at the mansion.

Her Majesty looked really sad...she cried for hours after Princess left, she didn't had to be rude towards her highness...but! Where did Princess might have gone?

While having thoughts spinning around her head, she reached home. She opened the door, entered inside and phrased aloud to Julia pleasingly.

"Momma's home honey!-"

Marie frantically stepped aback by dropping the bag of sweets from her hands and uttered out loud, with her fingers covering her mouth in shock.

"Y-your highness! what...WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"
