chapter96 accident

The house in City C was still the same as ever. On the coffee table sat a small crystal photo frame containing their recently taken wedding photos. Their cheeks were pressed together, and Asher's handsome face bore a warm smile. Scarlett picked up the frame and examined it carefully before gently placing it into a box, which already held a few of Asher's clothes. Small items like cups on the table were thrown into the trash; these little things couldn't be taken with her. She zipped up the box and then turned to her own room to continue packing.

Her mother walked over and leaned against the doorframe with a faintly stern expression. "Are you really going to be with him?"

Scarlett stopped what she was doing and said helplessly, "Mom, I've told you many times, he's just a little different. Apart from having more advantages than others, he's no different from an ordinary person. Didn't you like Asher a lot before you knew?"
