Acquiring the First Servitor

Looking at the "resurrected" necromancer, John was somewhat puzzled.

But he had a vague sense that this might have something to do with the parasitic spores.

John controlled the parasitic spores attached to the necromancer's head and severed their connection to his brain. The guy instantly reverted back to being lifeless.

"Oh, so that's how it is..." John finally understood the relationship.

The parasitic spores were not dead matter like the toxin. Each one was actually alive.

Their vast numbers combined with the host's corpse to form a new life form.

However, when John severed the connection with the host body, the necromancer's dead brain's consciousness was reactivated, seemingly unaware that it had been parasitized.

"Master, please, can you let me die in peace..." the necromancer pleaded bitterly.

He roughly understood that John seemed to be using his head as a test subject, giving him no peace even in death.
