Keitaro looked at the sword in his disciple's hands, this was the boy's creation.

Something that he was proud of, a curse tool with the power of a grade 2 curse tool.

No, the cursed tool would probably better fit as a semi-grade 2 curse tool, however, Keitaro could see how this cursed tool could be useful.

Keitaro inspected the sword, the sword was imbued with Edgar's nascent ability to manipulate curse energy.

The sword also seems to possess several unique traits, around 3 if what he was seeing was anything to go by.

Noticing the shape of the sword, Keitaro could see that the sword was incredibly durable, at least durable enough to tank blows from a grade one sorcerer, and still remained relatively fine.

In Keitaro's opinion that made the sword relatively good, it was probably a very good starting weapon for anyone new to curse energy or for someone who did not know how to use their curse energy yet.

He was able to deduce that the first trait of the weapon was its decent durability, the second trait was something he had witnessed firsthand.

The sword seems to possess the ability to channel and amplify its wielder's cursed energy.

The way it would work would probably be along the lines of.

When someone infused their curse energy into the blade, the blade would glow an ethereal light as if to tell the wielder that its cutting power and speed were being increased.

This increase however was not permanent but seemed to be more temporary, though that did seem to depend on the wielder's reserves.

If the wielder could keep feeding the sword with curse energy then the boost to the sword's power would stay consistent as long as the correct amount was being provided.

Something else that he had noticed from the sword, it was the simple fact that due to the fact that the sword was made from liquid metal, the sword would heal over time.

"Mind placing a piece of steel infront of him"

As soon as those words left his mouth, the butler was already on his way, and in less than 4 minutes, there was a piece of steel infront of Edgar.

"Cut it"

Edgar took in a deep breath, he clenched his fist around the blade, holding the blade so tightly that blood seemed to leak out of his hand.

Edgar raised the sword above his head before in a swift yet unrefined motion, Edgar sliced the steel sword.

Keitaro watched as the sword went halfway through the steel before breaking.

Edgar looked a bit disappointed, meanwhile, Keitaro was paying more attention to the fact that he could see the sword was rebuilding itself.

"You did great!"

Edgar's brow rose a bit upon hearing Keitaro's praises, was he being praised even though his sword had not managed to cut through the steel block?

"Really!?"

Edgar's voice sounded quite hesitant as he looked at Keitaro.

"Yeah!, you did amazing really! managing to make a cursed tool using your curse technique is very impressive!"

Keitaro noticed what seemed to be a tear falling down the boy's eyes, he did not expect that he would be praised for his work.

He could not control his emotions as his eyes became tired upon hearing his sensei work.

"Hey there, no need to cry"

Keitaro had a soft expression on his face as he uttered those words, he reached out his hands and carefully started patting the boy's head.

Upon feeling Keitaro's soft hand on his hand, Edgar seemed to have realized what he was doing.

Immediately backing off of Keitaro, he immediately bowed his head and apologized.

"I am sorry!, I am not supposed to show emotion"

"You are a kid, you are allowed to show emotions"

"But father said----"

"I am not your father am I now?"

Edgar gave Keitaro a hopeful smile as Keitaro walked close to the boy.

"Show me your hand?"

The boy obeyed his orders and showed him his hands.

Keitaro could see callouses on the boy's palm, this alone told him how hard the boy must have been working in the art of the sword.

The boy's hand also seems to be slightly pale, along with the fact that the boy's curse energy reserves were nearly empty out.

Keitaro placed his hand above the boy before using the reverse curse technique to heal the boy's wounds and his depleted curse energy amount.

Edgar watched as his wounds seemed to vanish and his curse energy amount returned back to full, he knew that his parents called it divine arts but even since he started studying under his current mentor, he had now grown the habit of calling it curse energy.

He could feel it, he felt as if his very essence in itself was being purified.

"Done"

As those words left Keitaro's mouth, Edgar noticed that he was fully healed.

"Considering you now have a sword, let's teach you some swordsmanship now shall we"

"Yes, Master!"

"You can call me Keitaro you know that right?!"

"That would be very disrespectful"

*Sigh*
