Chapter LXVIII - Buldavour (part 2)

Damn it... I'm so bored!

I started to walk like a zombie. My back is lowered, and my hands are left hanging powerlessly. For every centipede that comes after me, I simply moved a finger and shot a small fireball at them. The fire was already too powerful for the centipede, that it just burns them completely.

I also stopped marking the walls… seriously, even with those marks, I'm already lost.

It has been around three hours since I came here, and I'm super bored.

None of the monsters were painful to me. Every time a horde came, I created hell, but that's it. I have nothing fun to keep me from going insane. No friends, no games, no nothing.

But I found another way to have fun. The slippery paths were quite fun.

Every time I see one, I always unironically slide down with my legs and enjoy the quick wind that was brushed to my face. Though I did fall multiple times and got mud on my face, there are bodies of water nearly everywhere in the cave, so cleaning up is easy.

I thought everything was stupid and boring until I heard a loud explosion.

My face quickly brightened up and I happily walked towards the source of the sound. To get to that side, I will have to go down this slippery path that was right in front of me.

"Oh? It looks like I have to slide down again!"

I unironically said while staring at the path-No, the slide right in front of me.

I placed my right leg on the mud and pushed myself forward using the left. I started sliding down with both of my legs drifting on the mud. The feeling of wind gushes to my face removes the boredom away.

"Weeee~!"

Right before I crashed into the ground a few meters in front of me, I leaped as awesome as I could and posed when I landed, like an athletic champion.

Hmm… That felt really good!

I felt like an athletic champ until I turned to the room and saw Hod and the others staring at me like a creep. There's also the giant monster that stared at me awkwardly, as if asking what the hell I am doing.

"Rize?"

"O-Oh… Umm… shit."

I quickly lifted my hand and waved at them. Seeing that I have appeared, they all looked quite happy, and they all came running at me.

They all hugged me with the full momentum of their run, and I fell on the ground just as fast. They kept on piling up until we created a human mountain.

"Guys! Heavy!"

One by one they moved away because Cony complained. Not me, but Cony, who were the first to hug me.

"Kyaa!! Rize! I missed you!!"

Valey said at me while she continued hugging me. Everyone else also seemed to miss me. After all, I was gone for more than a month.

"Hey guys. Nice to see you all... What the heck is on your chin!??"

Everyone turned their gaze to Hod, specifically towards the short blue strings on his chin.

The realization came a little bit late for me.

Hod has a beard.

Hod has a beard.

Hod has a beard.

Hod has a beard.

Hod has a beard.

He grew a short beard.

I never grew any beard...

Not in this body, not in the previous one.

Hod has a beard.

Hod has a beard.

Not fair!! I also want a beard!

"Y-Yeah... I thought it would be cool to have one..."

"Damn right it is... I also want a beard."

"Heh…?"

Apparently, that was weird.

"Okay, sorry."

I apologized to them, and everyone smiled. Having me back surely made things not boring anymore.

But then Hod realized the danger that was right behind them, but it was too late. A giant poison spit was already fired at us, and it's simply impossible to dodge.

Hod immediately lifted his hand, trying to form an ice wall. Unfortunately, it is not quick enough.

I lifted my left hand, and fired a small firebomb. I commanded the firebomb to explode, right before it touches the giant poison spit, so that the force can cause the poison to explode away as well. As a result, no one got hit by the spit, but a small piece of hot green goo fell just an inch away from Barett's shoes.

"Woah, that was close!"

Barett shouted, but then he looked around. Everything in the room was nearly covered in the green goo, and those spit could have melted us easily.

I began moving forward to face the giant centipede.

"You guys have done enough. At least give me a share of the big guy, okay? I haven't fought real monsters in a month."

With my back facing the others, the giant centipede stared at me.

"Say, what's with this guy anyways?"

"Call it Buldavour!"

Everyone stared at Cony annoyingly. But Cony is not giving up, and stared back angrily as well.

"Ooookay, Buldavour..."

Sounds like a name from a pokemon game or something.

"… Let's play then."

I lifted my left hand, and turned off my limit bracelet. The released pressure caused everyone to shock, and it perfectly taunted the big guy. The Buldavour quickly hissed very loudly and marched it's way towards me. The way how big this guy is, and the fact that it moves exactly like a centipede moves simply disgusts me.

I took a stance while the Buldavour was getting closer. I enchanted my right hand and formed a powerful fist. It's getting very close now… so it should be any time.

Now!

I leaped far forward, and the distance was closed in an instant. The Buldavour was caught off-guard, and it couldn't react in time.

Using enough power, I swung my fist forward.

BAAMMMM!!!!

I punched the face of this giant long ass bastard, and the shockwave threw everything aside. The Buldavour was thrown all the way back to the wall from the force of the punch, with it's whole head completely demolished.

I landed on the ground, and posed like a champion again.

"Score!!"

Everyone else who was watching in awe immediately grinned at the sight of me defeating the giant in one shot. I turned around at them, and smiled widely as well.

"I'm back, fellas!"
