Chapter LXXXII - Dungeon Camping (part 1)

Just like planned, three groups will be created from the teams that we have.

Fran will lead team one along with Cane. Hod will lead team two along with Marksus, and team three will be Emlar and Jrake's team who will be the one guarding the exit of the dungeon.

An extra to the plan, Emlar's team will be the center of communication. They will see how things are going from the village's perspective while the two groups searched around the area.

Jrake's team will act as first case backup, in case we actually do need a backup. Their team will be the first team to be sent down into the dungeon, and if backup is still needed, then Emlar's team will be sent for evacuation instead of fighting power.

For now, it's time for us to look for the scouts. The search for the scouts should stop before dark, because when it's dark, the scouts will have the upper hand. They are beasts after all, they don't need to see to kill.

Us humans, however… can't.

Fran's group was able to hunt down six scouts, every single one was the same as the one we fought at the village. She reported to the crystal that only the team leaders are connected. Our group could only find four, which makes Hod a little bit left behind in the competition.

""This is not a competition.""

Cony and Valey had to remind him, but he simply chuckled. Hod has always been competitive with Fran, even though he didn't take the Yellow ranked test with Fran.

We finally found the fifth one, two hours into the search. But, Fran then reported that they had just defeated their eighth. Hod silently clenching his fist.

After a while, the sun is finally setting, but we haven't found the dungeon's location. But then, Fran reported from the crystal to tell the good news.

"Found the dungeon entrance!"

She said proudly to the crystal, pissing Hod even more.

Our team then continued to march towards her location. When we arrived, my mouth couldn't stop from saying 'wow'.

The entrance to the dungeon was like a mouth on the mountain. The height of the entrance is seven meters tall, and the length of ten meters. Right outside the entrance, multiple corpses of the Misoh can be seen. Fran's team had taken them down beforehand.

"So, Hod? How many did you kill?"

"Tch… You won this round."

Hod said as he turned to Emlar's team which also just arrived. Fran left him while laughing, making Hod even more ashamed.

He immediately commanded the groups to start setting up a base. The base will be twenty meters away from the entrance, so they started setting up the tents.

There are around six tents here, with one middle tent for the mission room. The tents are split in two, three for men and three for ladies.

The ladies are very strict in moving their tents far away from the men, and just like that our tent is twenty meters away from the men.

This is a bit unnecessary… but whatever. I will be enjoying myself, anyway.

The tents are facing each other, placed on the left and right of the dungeon entrance. Right across the dungeon is where the tent for the mission room will be, which is three times the size of the regular tent.

Everyone worked together to build the tents, including the male and female tents. By the time we finished making the tents and camps, night finally fell.

Jrake and his friends went ahead and grabbed a couple branches to make multiple campfires. There will be two campfires in front of each part of the tents, so in total there're four campfires.

The muscle heads went ahead and cut a whole tree. They then slice them into multiple parts to create a single large campfire to place in the middle, in front of the dungeon entrance.

If I help them, we could make even more campfires, but that's just too much work. I'd rather stay in the tent with Cony and Valey.

The earth magicians went beyond and created a watch tower on the walls of the mountain. That way, our scout eyes can see the forest easily. There are two scouting spots on the right and left of the entrance. Both are facing forward, like the entrance.

Then the others who aren't working went ahead and created a large circle on the ground. I was quite confused as to what they were doing, but then Valey told me about what it is.

A small sparring arena.

This place is really starting to look like a camp. Hod went here and there to help the others with his plans, he is the busiest guy in the entire group. 

The battle arena was lifted two centimeters from the ground by the earth magicians, including Jrake. The tents were lit up by light crystals that Hod bought to work as the lights.

Since I don't want to do anything, I just sat on the tent that belongs to my group. Aside from me, Valey and Cony are also here. The girls from the other groups are still outside. Everyone thought we were just a little too shy to come out.

Not really, we are just lazy.

"Hey girls! I know you are in there."

Hod shouted from outside.

"Sorry, Hod. We're not feeling well."

"Yeah, Hod. Tell the others I'm sick."

"Go away Hod."

The absolutely rejected Hod then left to talk with Barett to get himself better. He might also reflect a little about himself after this.

The girls giggled when Hod left, and I also can't help but chuckle.
