Chapter CXX - Healing the Unhealable (part 1)

"We have ourselves a gold member!"

Megisca announced as she entered the living room of the club. Lezlia and Kelmar were quite confused, but both Filma and Megisca showed quite the extensive happy face.

"H-How did the healing goes--"

"Everyone is healed!"

Megisca ran to the leader and grabbed her by the shoulders as she said that. 

Lezlia was quite confused at the beginning, but then it was like she remembered something important, because she immediately ran outside the room to see for herself.

"W-What do you mean everyone is healed?"

Kelmar was able to maintain his cool behaviour as he placed down his book. but a curious man is curious. Filma then pointed her hands at me.

"That girl has Knight tier healing magic."

"K-Knight tier!? And!?"

"She healed everyone."

"T-That's not possible..."

Suddenly, Lezlia came back running from the outside. Because she was running too fast, she tripped on the steps and landed on the carpet next to the sofa.

By the time she lifted her head, everyone could see blood flowing out of her forehead.

She slowly lifted her body up with her right arm pointing to her face as she tried very hard to withstand the pain.

"H-Heal this..."

I glared at her with a demeaning and disgusted expression.

"No way… You did that intentionally."

"R-Rize! Her head is bleeding!"

"She did this to herself!!"

"Just heal her!!"

Filma is definitely not a seventy years old lady because she seemed to be able to shout properly.

I snorted and placed my finger on Lezlia's forehead. The wound closed in an instant.

"Woah… It's real. It's actually real."

Lezlia touched her bloody forehead and looked for any pain, but the pain was nowhere to be found.

"Lezlia! Wash your head!"

Megisca came running from the side with a tissue and wiped the leader's face from blood.

The leader then slowly stood up, but she lost quite the balance because of her sudden loss of blood on her head. Then she opened her eyes widely and grinned at me.

"We have a gold member..."

"That's what I said!!"

Me, still getting confused as to what they meant about gold members, can only stare as Megisca and Lezlia cheered like some fangirls.

A hand suddenly tapped my shoulder. It's Kelmar.

"Don't mind them. Come sit on the sofa."

Looks like only he can stay sane after all of that. I sat across from him on the sofa, while he took out a book from his space ring.

"Having a Knight tier healing magic and being able to use them very easily... That's abnormal, Rize."

"I am aware of that, and I know that I can trust you guys to keep this a secret?"

"You have my word. Aside from you, Megisca and I can use the Knight tier too. But, we will immediately get tired after using that high of a tier, so daily, we only used the Beginner tier.

Filma can only use the Intermediate tier, but having her here is a very big help. Lezlia is terrible at anything medical. Her healing magic, though, was the best out of all of us."

I looked back to see the three girls still cheering behind me, so I continued to ignore them.

"What tier does the leader have?"

"Right now, Lezlia has unlocked the King tier healing magic."

"W-What!?"

I reflexively stood up in disbelief. Realizing I have put myself ashamed, I sit back down slowly.

"It's true, but she can barely use it."

"W-Why?"

"The higher the tier, the more costly it becomes to use it. Using the Knight tier just once in a day can get you tired for the whole day. 

So, imagine using a King tier that is ten times more powerful than a Knight tier. It can drain you for a week, and if you weren't careful, it might kill you."

"T-That's... Insane..."

"Yes. But, not for you. You just casually used Knight tier healing magic and went around healing people. You are abnormal, Rize. You can definitely use King tier healing magic normally."

"I see. Will you teach me how to use it?"

Kelmar fixed his glasses.

"On one condition. You have to come here regularly every weekend and heal the patients."

"Easy. I just need to tier up my healing magic as fast as I can. The longer my friend lived without his leg the worse my guilt became."

"Haha. That's not something that can be healed, isn't it? Guilt."

He seemed to be understanding very well. He took out another book and gave it to me.

"This is the notes that Lezlia used to gain her position right now, as a King tier healing magician. She gave this to me so I can learn to get King tier as well, but it seems like you needed it more. It may be rough, but it requires a lot of sweat and energy."

I picked the book from his hand and read it. From the looks of it, she just simply healed hundreds of people using Knight tier magic, and was able to tier up to King rank on patient number... Two hundred and twenty five. 

"She healed 225 people using the Knight tier and she can tier up?"

"Yes. That is simply impossible, you know."

"... I healed that amount nearly every weekend."

"... E-Excuse me!?"

I turned my back completely ignoring the panicking glasses guy and faced Lezlia, who is now somehow crying on the floor along with everyone else.

I can hear him mumbling about the Saint Healer back there, but I'm just going to ignore him for now.
