"Rize? Are you okay?"
Megisca quickly shook my shoulder to snap me back to reality, and I quickly shook my head to remove the dizziness from teleportation.
"Y-Yeah… I'm fine."
"What happened? You didn't follow us in, and we somehow couldn't get out."
"I... What?"
I looked around to see everyone's panicked face. While I was there, they couldn't leave the headmaster's room at all. They tried touching the knob multiple times, but it wasn't teleporting them out.
The teleportation magic on the door knob was damaged, for reasons that I'm certain related to what just happened to me.
"Can we... try again?"
Megisca nodded at my words and tried touching the knob again. She got teleported out immediately.
"It works!"
Lezlia shouted and went after, and then Filma. Kelmar is still checking the headmaster's room for something.
"I swear it's somewhere around here... The entrance to the secret room."
Kelmar mutters as he searches. I quickly remembered what I had gone through and decided to cough.
Kelmar immediately snapped back to reality and realized everyone already left. After he noticed, the two of us left the room at the same time and arrived outside.
"Well, that was… panicking and boring."
Lezlia commented as soon as we stepped outside the middle building. Everyone else was panicking while Kelmar was looking around for something that wasn't there.
Meanwhile, I had a meeting with a mysterious kid.
Who was he anyway?
"Does… the name Arfius Polaris ring any bell to you guys?"
I asked everyone as we made our way towards the exit of the teacher's building, and they all suddenly turned their gaze at me.
"Totally."
"Definitely."
Somehow, only I don't know who he is. Megisca coughed before answering.
"He is the son of the arch-mage of Xyphon, who was known to be the strongest mage of the generation."
Hearing that answer, I opened my eyes widely.
"I thought the headmaster is the strongest magician?"
"No, no. The headmaster is the 'Greatest' magician, while this guy is the actual strongest.
Strength and ability are two different things. The headmaster is very talented and masterful, but the arch-mage is definitely the strongest existence right now."
"I... I see."
"Yeah. And right now, his son is entering the academy. And he is in the same year as you, Rize."
"Is that so... Can you tell me about him?"
Everyone else quickly puts up a mystery grin, as if they smelled something shady in my words. I already guessed what's on their mind, so I let out a sigh.
"If he really is strong, then he might be my biggest opponent here."
"Right, right. You aimed to be the top, so naturally, he is your greatest challenge."
Lezlia recognized that I am worthy of becoming the strongest, so she somewhat agreed that Arfius might be my greatest challenger.
Afterwards, Megisca told me everything about him. Apparently this second year healing lady was a heavy fanatic of his, so she actually knows everything regarding him.
Able to use magic at age four, he was known to be the most talented magician among anyone in his generation.
He is a tri-magician, with the ability to use three destruction magic. Lightning, Wind, and Water. And, it was said that every element is already a Knight tier, except for his water magic.
He is currently the most powerful student in the academy, regardless of any year. The top students of the second year and the third year didn't even dare to challenge him, because they had seen him in action.
He fought the headmaster during the entrance test and arrived on a complete stalemate. The two even shed blood during the spar, and in the end, no one wins because they both decided to end it in the middle.
And that was before… he entered the academy.
"He really is the most powerful magician of our generation. Plus he is handsome, too. His blue hair… and his bright blue eyes… Oh my god..."
Megisca blushed red as she described him, and even placed both of her palms on her cheek. She quickly got slapped on the back of her head by Kelmar using his book.
BAKK!!
Now, that's a slap of knowledge!
