"Rize! Show me the purple flame!"
I let out a sigh and showed Miss Malindey my purple flame. I lit the top of my finger on fire, and she quickly moved her face closer to study the flame.
"It's so cool looking! And it's very hot! Just a small flame was able to emit this much heat!"
She said while the whole class was staring behind her at the flame on my finger.
The class hadn't even started yet, and she quickly rushed to my seat and asked to show her the flame.
The headmaster said that I should keep myself low, and yet he shared this information like some must-learn knowledge...
What a two face…
While everyone went to my table, it seemed like only Arfius stayed at his table. It's like he already knows, and he is very jealous.
Sorry, Arfius… but it seems like I am not your rival anymore.
The class then continued. Miss Malindey now teaches Advanced Magic Aptitude class, which is a fairly more advanced class than the previous magic aptitude class. It's just the same class, but with much harder techniques to learn.
Most of the techniques I already can do, like weapon enchantment and augmenting, as well as weapon forming using magic.
Those things are certainly difficult for a newbie, but for an advanced magician like me, it's like breathing.
The class ends and we head into the next class, the combat practice.
"I want you all to pair up with someone and spar with each other. No magic, just physical techniques."
The teacher said during the class, and the whole class quickly turned into a disarray.
"Ah, you. Fight me."
"... Sure."
The teacher quickly walked to me and challenged me. It was the same teacher during my first year, who was once an adventurer. So he and I know each other rather well.
We sparred five times, and he lost five times. I have to say, my skills has certainly become sharper since last year.
After all, shadow magic mainly focused on physical attack instead of ranged attacks. To control the shadow magic you create is simply the same as controlling your own body and limbs. So anyone who can use shadow magic can do physical combat just fine.
And after using shadow magic continuously for a whole year, my techniques and movements became so much sharper and refined.
I wonder how my sword arts will be. Will I be able to defeat Fran in a spar? I still have to get her back for defeating me that evening at the dungeon's entrance.
The class ends and we all have some free time to ourselves, so I went ahead to the healing club room to chill.
There are no more injured people sleeping in the club room now that I have taken control. Every time a person is injured, I always get notified and healed him at the infirmary. As a result, there is no more overload of injured students in the infirmary. And no overload in the infirmary, means that there won't be any injured person at the club room.
So, we turned the club room into a chilling spot.
The second years--No, the third years, Megisca and Filma just retired from the club and gave me the leadership. Aside from me, the second years are Manda and Maneil. The two have unlocked beginner tier healing magic, and it is already a great feat for them. As for the first years, there are five of them.
Looks like the numbers are increasing greatly for the healing magic club.
I entered the club room and realized it was quite empty, so I have the whole room for myself.
We transformed the club room from a hospital filled with injured people into a home room for us to chill. It has a stove where we can cook, a library filled with books from the storage, and bedrooms where we can sleep.
The healing magic club sure is rich now that the academy looks up to us even more. They gave us more allowance than before and we used the money to buy a bunch of good stuff for the club room. And now, it looks like the insides of a modern house already.
The only thing missing is the bathroom, because we can't have those inside and there is already one right outside the club room.
I went to the sofa and slapped my back on it. I closed my eyes and started sleeping.
I don't really feel tired, but I just felt like I needed a nap.
It has been a whole year, and I haven't left the academy at all. Mostly because I'm too lazy to fly for thirty minutes to Mazino. And now, I really miss them.
… Maybe I should… come back there and greet everyone… Just to say hello.
As my mind continued its daydreaming, I fell into a deep slumber.
.
BAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
The ground suddenly shook heavily as the sound of an explosion woke me up.
I stood up from the sofa almost immediately and looked around to see the situation. The room looked fine, but the explosion must be nearby.
No, is it inside the building?
I could hear some loud noise coming from the outside of the club room, so I quickly headed out and saw for myself what was happening. I went out the door and looked down into the lobby.
There's a fire coming from the second floor, from one of the club rooms.
If I was someone from a year ago, I would be ignoring that and go back to sleep. But I am now the student council president, so I have to go check it.
