As we strolled down the dungeon, we met a ton of monsters along the way.
However, I let Emily take care of them.
Every single one of them, all while I shouted some things at her.
"Try to shorten the speed of your casting! Focus on inserting the magic energy first before lighting the magic up, and finally shoot! It's all about discipline!"
I shouted while leaning my back on the wall. Emily is currently facing an army of Misoh and gargoyles by herself. And surprisingly, she is learning fast. And don't forget, these are Yellow ranked dungeon monsters, second only to the White rank.
She was able to make firebombs easily at the second try. She learned to use the wind force using her wind magic, and she can use the lightning magic by using the energy from inside her.
A tri-magic user… and a quick learner. She is super talented, yet no one was there to teach her. She became a Blue ranked adventurer, not because she is a capable mage, but because she is talented. She is only at the Blue rank, not because her talent wasn't enough, but because she is simply untrained.
I will turn her into a Master Wizard level. Watch me. She is very much capable of becoming one.
"Gargoyle on your left!"
Without turning her sight, Emily pointed her right hand towards the gargoyle and casted a lightning strike. The lightning strike beautifully shot away from her hands and struck the gargoyle dead.
"Nice!! Now keep going!"
"Yes!!"
Emily then focused her magic output into her right hand, and three firebombs were conjured in an instant.
That... was scary quick.
She shot the firebombs, and the ground shook for a while as they exploded. When the dust cleared, it showed the corpses of the monsters that Emily just killed.
"Hooray, Emily! You are the best!"
"Thank you Rize! I never had an actual magic teacher before!"
The two of us danced happily despite the gruesome scene in front of us.
Magicians were never normal.
We continued our move and got confronted with more monsters. I told Emily to use a body augmenting technique, and she managed to merge wind and lightning magic into her fist, casting a really powerful and stunning punch.
She is learning quickly... Scary quick.
Also the fact that this is a Yellow ranked dungeon makes her even scarier. She came out of all that unscathed too, and she definitely still has a large amount of magic energy left in her.
She is… talented.
Looks like I found myself an unpolished diamond.
We finally arrived in a large room where a gigantic door is placed at one end of the room. In front of the door, Fran and Brod are already waiting.
"You two are slow."
"Yeah, well I had something to teach Emily. She is a talented magician, you know?"
"Y-You mean those explosions are caused by Emily?"
"Yeah. She is like the goddess of destruction or something."
Hearing me said that made Emily blushed from the praises. Fran must've heard about the explosions, and she definitely thought that I was the one doing those giant explosions.
The four of us sat down on the floor and chatted while we waited for the two other boys. After a while, we can hear the two coming from the path. They seemed to be busy talking with each other.
No, gossiping.
"Yeah, and she was like, 'Noo!!!'"
"Haha! I wish I could see that."
While Rath and Cane were finishing their talking, they didn't realize that they had arrived in the room before the boss room.
They were warmly welcomed by the pissed off Fran, who was waiting for them at the end of the hall, with her arms on her hips.
"H-Hey, Fran! W-We weren't talking about you!"
"Y-Yeah! Don't worry about it..."
"You two are damn slow!"
Fran pulled the two from their back collars and dragged them to the giant door to the boss room. Everyone else stood up and headed to the door.
Fran slowly opened the door and showed us what was behind. Inside is a large room that fits more like a king's throne.
Pillars are supporting the ceilings, while at the end of the room is a single large throne, owned by the boss.
The monster stood up, showing exactly how gigantic this guy is. It grabbed the also gigantic blade right next to the chair, and it dragged the sword as it moved on the room.
The boss had two large horns on top of his bull head, while its muscles are large as heck. This thing is bare chested, while it wore a little bit of cloth to cover its junk.
A Minotaur…
Is what anyone would say right now. But since Minotaurs doesn't exist here-
"Minotaur..."
Cane mumbles as he stares at the monster. Looks like the name is famous, even here.
Wait, how…?
Fran and Cane moved forward, entering the room. The two studied the boss from top to bottom, and finally checked its pressure.
This thing... It is at least a higher White ranking.
As expected of a Yellow ranked dungeon boss. But it is still… a very dangerous one.
While those two are busy glaring fearsomely at the boss, I pulled Rath and Emily silently to the back. Brod saw us, and he quickly followed silently.
"This is… troublesome."
Cane mumbled, and Fran who heard it agreed.
"Yeah… Possibly a higher White rank. We might be in trouble if we let this thing run free."
"Yeah. What should we do?"
The two were very much in confusion as to how to deal with this, but they can't think of anything. The monster is higher White ranked, a level only one lower than the strongest monster, the elder dragon. Left alone, it can ruin an entire kingdom all by itself.
This is… difficult.
"Go Cane! Go Fran!"
A shout can be heard, and they quickly turned around.
"You guys can do this!"
"Don't give up!"
"Kill the boss!"
While those two were glaring at the boss, everyone else sat on the back wall while cheering. Emily, Brod, and Rath are helping with the cheering.
If it's still not clear, the four of us are not participating in the battle.
"G-Guys!?"
"You can do this Fran! Go kill the boss!"
"Wha… Rize??"
Fran and Cane glared at each other in confusion, but I simply gave them a thumbs up.
"If things go wrong, I'll help you! Don't worry!"
I said with a grin, and the two quickly got charmed. They glared at one another before finally turning to face the boss.
The boss has been waiting very patiently for its opponent. When the two opponents are finally facing it, the minotaur becomes excited.
It swung the giant blade around and screamed.
"HOOOOOAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Fran and Cane covered their ears, and so did everybody else.
"Yikes… That's loud."
I said while trying to cover my ears. The room wasn't even that big, and the guy just screamed its lungs out? What's his problem??
"Rize. Are you sure it's fine? Leaving the two to fight the boss?"
Brod asked me, but I simply nodded at him
"It's fine. That thing is merely a higher White, these two can defeat it. And if things go wrong, I can leap in immediately."
"Ah... Okay."
Trusting me, Brod decided to just watch the battle from the rear without doing anything. Everyone who heard also did the same.
"Guys, come on, we need to keep cheering for them! Go Fran! Go Cane!!"
I shouted, and everyone else followed. I took out some items, like two throwing knives and began smacking them together.
CLANK!!
CLAANKK!!!!
"Stop it!"
"Sorry."
The sound of clanking made everyone's ears hurt, until finally Rath barked at me.
Meanwhile, Fran and Cane are still too confused.
"She is… unbelievable."
Fran mumbles, but Cane manages to hear it.
"Well, she isn't her if she isn't like this."
"I have to agree... Anyways, how will we handle this?"
"... With everything we got."
Cane said as he unleashes the light magic inside his body. His whole body became cladded in light. The clothes, the cape, everything. It turned white beautifully. A white crown also formed on top of his head. That part was definitely a decoration.
He pulled his sword out, and it is also turning bright white.
"See? Your sword isn't the only white sword around here."
"Okay, sir white knight! But are you sure you can only unleash that much?"
Fran closed her eyes and controlled her breathing. The wind pressure around her turned extremely stiff, and even made Cane skip a beat. Suddenly, a thunderous sound came from her entire body as everything from her foot to the tip of her hair became cladded in lightning.
The brilliant blue lightning heavily sparks around her while her yellow golden hair is moving around insanely from the pressure. She opened her legs and unsheathed her sword with one hand. Blue streaks of lightning can be seen colouring the sword.
"Sad to say, my sword isn't all white."
"Cheh…"
Cane can only snap in jealousy. Fran's sword looked so cool from the streaks decorating her sword. Now it looks like her sword is permanently augmented with lightning magic.
This is Mazino's White ranked adventurers.
