The coup was successful and all the corrupt nobles and Military police members were caught under house arrest until a trial could be conducted to sent them to work on farms for the rest of their lives.
Historia was elected as the next queen but the young woman was reluctant to take up the position as she wasn't confident in such an important role but with Siegfried backing her she decided to do it.
Naturally there were opposition from the scouts and even the Garrison Regiment but none of it mattered to Siegfried as he just shut them up the easiest way , by showcasing his might.
Naturally there were some that called for his execution as he was a shifter and they claimed he could be a spy but the members of the Scouts who owed their lives stuck by Siegfried.
Even without their help nobody could do anything to Siegfried as bullets don't harm him anymore and he could easily dodge bullets.
Not to mention the threat of rumbling he had promised to unleash.
His only weakness were Carla , Eren and Mikasa along with the others but even with those weaknesses he would still commit the rumbling if they threatened him.
He was insane like that , not that he would ever let anything happen to his people.
He wasn't paranoid about his safety but more about his family's, so he made sure to observe every one of them and killed off or just mind fucked the ones who had I'll intentions.
He had principles but he was more than willing to break them if it meant protecting something he held dear.....

"Should I refer to you as her Majesty now ~" Siegfried said in a teasing tone as Historia pouted at him.
"Hmph~ You are making fun of me again Captain ~ " Historia hugged Siegfried's arms intimately as she leaned forward to share an intimate kiss with him which lasted for a few moments as both of them gently tasted each other's lips without being too sloppy.
" Would ... Miss Carla be okay with me asking you to be my King ... Since it's basically...." Historia blushed as she couldn't gaze straight at Siegfried because asking him to become her King was akin to a marriage proposal.
They could even rename the Royal family since she wanted Siegfried to be the King instead of being her consort or something.
"I had already talked to her about this ... And you don't need to be so afraid about offending anyone. Just like how u accepted to the dynamics of our relationship, Carla too accepted it " Siegfried said gently as he draped his arm around Historia's shoulder.

A small girl with blonde hair and tattered clothes with an empty look in her eyes and she seemed to be carrying a pail of water.
Siegfried just gazed at the little girl before him and she just gazed at him with the same empty gaze.
"Could you tell me who you are?" Siegfried couldn't help but ask as something about her was bothering him.
The girl didn't talk but she stretched her hand out towards Siegfried who gently took it causing him to be dragged into a memory fragment.....

"No wonder...." Siegfried said with a bitter smile as he gazed at the girl who was just staring at him.
He understood why he felt strange when he met her ..... Because this girl or woman didn't have a free will of her own.
Or atleast she believed that. She was living this cursed existence just like how he was doing for millions of billions of times.
She was currently waiting for him to order her since she was a slave to the possessor of the Royal bloodline.
She wasn't cursed by love .... She was just cursed by a lie she forced herself to believe.
That was what Siegfried believed after seeing everything. Gazing at her like this ... He couldn't just leave her be.
It wasn't just about pity or being a hero , Siegfried saw himself in her, a slave to his own beliefs.
He wanted to give her salvation ...
Because he was sure it would soothe some of the wounds he had...
