Two

Alkina, now known as Historia Crane, is sitting in a chair. She's now in her room, thinking about how her soul migrated to another person's body. She had been in this world for two months and had gradually come to understand what she was in.

There are five magic-wielding families in this world. The gods and goddesses bestowed powerful magical elements on their ancestors as a gift for them to make them stronger and capable of defeating the dark mythical dragon. The Crane family has water magic, the Hesthburg family has wind magic, the Ascavel family has fire magic, the Brimrock family has earth magic, and the imperial family, Zandravel, has celestial magic.

Each element is extremely powerful, but it is dependent on its users. Only those with the blood of each family's blood can wield this power. The person with the most mana and the most powerful use of magic can be the heir of each of their houses. Not only that, but if a member of those families outperforms the imperial family's magic, they can become the new emperor or empress even if they are not a member of the imperial family. But, decades ago there wasn't even one who outperformed the imperial family's ability and strength.

After staying several weeks in this world, Alkina realizes that Historia Crane is the world's villain. A legitimate child of Duke Darcus Crane who lacks magic and everyone in the empire makes Historia a laughingstock as she only has a beautiful face but lacks magic and manners.

She simply touches her brow as she sits in the chair. "I didn't think my life could be any worse than my previous life; living as the daughter of a high noble is...urgh...this is giving me a headache," she muttered, letting out a heavy sigh.

She got to her feet and walked over to the window and she parted the curtains. She looked outside the mansion and noticed the vast grassy land and lovely flowers scattered far away from the mansion. The Crane residence is the second largest landowner among the five families, with the imperial family being the first.

Historia's room was placed in front of their mansion because she requested it, she desired the view from the window, which the Duke promptly provided. She finally got the freedom she desired after being locked up in her room and scolded for two weeks. She learned, shortly after transmigrating to Historia's body, that Historia had attempted to murder Vivian, but had been released from jail due to Vivian's request.

Her brother kept talking to her after she awoke, saying that they thought she had died because she was as cold as ice the moment they saw her. The Duke, Historia's father who has healing magic, thanks him and immediately uses his magic to try to save her from death.

"Well, I guess it's good to have a father like him," she pauses for a moment before continuing. "However, I believe he prefers Admarine over Historia."

When the door unexpectedly opened, she turned around to see a maid bowing her head and speaking. "My lady, the Duke wishes to see you," she said as she continued to bow her head.

"Alright," Historia replied coldly and took a step forward leaving behind the maid. She's now dressed in a yellow gown similar to Belle's in the film Beauty and the Beast. Her dazzling yellow necklace and earrings add to her allure. Her long wavy brown hair was also tied in a ponytail, with small hanging bangs on either side of her face.

She's walking alone as she doesn't want anyone following her. She fired all of her maids and knights after she saw them following orders from Admarine. She does not want a dog with a different owner on her side. She wanted to hire other maids and knights but didn't know where to look.

She tried posting job postings, but no one showed up and they didn't want to serve Historia after learning she attempted to murder Vivian, the crown prince's fiancée.

She is nearly now at the Duke's office when suddenly Admarine, the daughter of Duke Crane from another woman the current Duchess looks at her with a disgusted face. Behind her were her loyal knights and three maids. Historia didn't bother to waste her time staring at her and quickly knocked on the door to enter.

When she heard the Duke's voice, she opened the door and saw her other siblings. Redam quickly stood up and stood alongside Historia right after he saw her. He is Historia's brother whom she saw right after she woke up. She then turned her gaze to Sigmis when she noticed he was staring at her, she just looked away and turned her gaze to Redam.

"How's the trip, brother?" Historia asks him with a sweet smile on her face. Both Redam and Sigmis were on a journey investigating the land of Tuvoka, where they heard monsters lurking in the land. The people there were scared so they sent a request to the emperor to send people to their land to investigate and kill the monsters.

"Fine, we barely survive. Monsters are becoming stronger and stronger as time passes," Redam replied. Historia just nodded her head slowly and looked at the Duke who's been looking at her intently, making her confused.

"I called all of you here to warn you not to ruin the family's name," the Duke said as he kept on staring at Historia making her perplexed. "Luckily, Lady Hesthburg was able to survive the poison you gave to her, Historia Crane," the Duke added.

Historia just kept her mouth shut as she stared at Duke's eyes. Even though she knows she wasn't the one who made it, she cannot help as she uses Historia's body in this world.

"How would I do what Historia did, Father?" A sweet voice was heard around the room and all of them looked at Admarine smirking at Historia. "I'll make sure to lift the Crane family after my sister jeopardizes our family's name," she added.

"That woman is better to be dead than to live, why did you even let that woman live in this world after killing so many people, father?" Sigmis suddenly speaks which makes Historia look at him. Her eyes widened a bit as she heard that the real Historia killed many people, she didn't expect this to happen.

"I don't know what is your reason for doing that, but don't do it anymore. For the second time I heard you killed Lady Hesthburg, I will be the one to take your life away. What happened that day, Historia Crane?" Duke Crane asks her which makes Historia sweat as she doesn't know how to answer the question because even her don't know what happened to the real Historia.

"I–" Historia wasn't able to continue what she wanted to say when someone unexpectedly knocked on the door which made them look at it.

"Come in," Duke Crane said and the door slowly open. The Duchy's main butler showed in front of them bowing his head before speaking.

"Your Grace, His Highness wishes to see Lady Historia Crane. He is with Lady Hesthburg waiting in the waiting room," he said while still bowing his head. Historia's brows raised after what she heard.
