Eight

Historia explained what had happened to her in detail, and the two young men sat patiently listening to her until the discussion ended. Redam told her to rest so she could regain her energy, and they would take care of it. Historia just responded politely. Redam excused himself first and went outside the Lady's room. Zion also did, however, Historia grabbed Zion's red uniform in the back, causing him to stop and look at her.

"Stay here, I need your help," Historia said, clutching the fabric of his uniform. He raises his eyebrow and turns to look at her, prompting Historia to lower her hands.

"Didn't Redam tell you to rest? Whatever you want to do now, My Lady, do it tomorrow," he said, prompting her to pout. Zion's cheeks blush as he notices Historia's cuteness in response to his statement. "I will come here to help you tomorrow, so rest for today, My Lady," he added.

Historia smiles broadly. "It will be our secret, okay?" Historia replied with a smile and pressed her index finger to her lips, indicating that Zion should have kept quiet. Zion lets out another heavy sigh before giving her a warm smile.

"Yes, My Lady," he replied, bowing his head and leaving the room.

Seconds later, Sally enters the room with her favorite cookies, butter cookies. "My Lady, Sir Dante told me this is your favorite, so I should bring it here," Sally explained, placing it on the table.

"Hey, Sally!" Historia called her name, prompting her to look at her. Historia was now sitting on the couch, taking one cookie and biting it.

"Yes, My Lady?" Sally responded.

"I think I had a crush on Duke Zion," Historia said abruptly, looking at Sally, who was blushing and smiling. "Kidding, I guess I am just mesmerized by his beauty," she said, causing Sally to pout.

"Anyway, since you are now one of my maids. I may be a good and kind-hearted woman, but I really don't want people who aren't loyal to their owners," Historia says abruptly, continuing to bite the cookie. Sally nods, then takes a seat in front of the lady. "I don't even want you to keep secrets from me, so I wanted to ask you: what are the things you need to settle and do?" she asked, looking at her seriously. Sally was nervous about how Historia was acting right now. It felt as if the other side of her emerged.

Sally was having doubts about giving her the answer she wanted but eventually decided to say it. "I want revenge, My Lady. My parents didn't die just because of a disease. They are murdered by aristocrats!" Sally said with anger in her tone. Historia just keeps quiet and looks at her intently. "I saw it with my own two eyes. I don't know what they have discussed and why they killed my parents but I know my parents! They are not bad people!" she added, clenching her fist while looking down.

"Can you recall the names or the faces of these people you are talking about? The ones who killed your parents?" Historia asks her.

Sally lifted her head to speak. "It was the Hesthburg family, My Lady," Historia smirked as she noticed Sally's raging eyes. She can now tell something is going on with the crown princess. In terms of the real Historia, poisoning Lady Vivian may have been something she did not do and was only framed by someone.

"I smell something fishy now, what if we make a deal, Sally?" Historia speaks which makes Sally alerted and willing to listen to what she says.

"I will do anything, My Lady. If I need to sacrifice myself, I will do it! I will bow my loyalty and my faithfulness to the ladyship as long as you can make my revenge come to reality! I will help you the best I can with anything you want me to do!" Sally exclaimed as she stared intently at Historia. She can still see Sally's raging eyes and her determination to exact revenge.

Historia smirks once more. If she discovers that everything that is happening to the real Historia is her fault, as well as what happened to her previously, she will seek vengeance.

"Don't worry, I won't make your life miserable as long as you're in my hands, and I won't let you die either. Just give me your loyalty and faithfulness, Sally. I need someone I can trust, not someone who will betray me someday because if you do, I won't hesitate to kill you," Historia said seriously, causing Sally to clench her fist and swallow her saliva out of nervousness.

"Don't be afraid of me! I am still that Historia, you know, and I just need to make sure that I can trust you with anything because you know, I need people right now," Historia said, making Sally feel better. She then took a cookie and handed it to Sally. "Help me eat this!" she exclaimed happily, which made Sally smile at her.

Another day has arrived. Sally assists Historia with her commoner attire. Historia chose to wear this so that people wouldn't recognize her. She also puts her hair in a ponytail and places a small mole under her left eye. "Do you think people will still recognize me?" Historia asks Sally, but before she can respond, Zion abruptly interrupts, startling the two and making them look in his direction.

"You should change the color of your eyes," he said, looking at her and handing her a potion that could change her eye color. "Pardon me for coming inside without your permission. But I don't know how to come here without them knowing, so I have decided to use the teleportation card," he went on to say.

Historia was astounded by what Zion was wearing now. He also wears commoner clothing! "How did you know we needed to wear that?" Historia said, pointing to his clothes.

Zion shrugged his shoulders and responded. "Just a hint." Historia just smiles.

When the lady finished her preparations, she stood beside Zion. Her eyes changed from golden to brunette. "Where are you going anyway?" Zion asks her.

"Take me to the Empire's Library. There is something I need to look into, and from what I've heard, the Empire's library is open to the public, right? Let me in!" Historia exclaimed joyfully, as if her eyes were sparkling to see the books in the library.

Historia is not only interested in reading books but also in researching the theory behind the Brimrock books. She also heard that anyone could read it. "Are you looking for the Brimrock books?" Zion asks her. Historia gave her a big smile and a thumbs-up. He chuckled and took the teleportation card.

He said, "Alright."

"Take care, My Lady!" Sally said happily, waving her hands at them. Zion quickly used the teleportation card, and in front of them was a massive and tall library. It was painted in blue and gold, making it appear very expensive and stunning in the man's eyes!

"So, this is the Empire's library!" Historia exclaimed.
