Chapter 52 - Time to bail

Things got noisy ahead, so Jason approached even more carefully before. Thanks to that, he was able to find another group of survivors, this time in the open, fighting the Flamed Avians.

"Is that… actual armor?" Jason furrowed his eyebrows. "Well, this is surprising. I guess I am not the only one adapting pretty fast."

Jason could see the survivors being hit by fireballs in the chests and arms, but their red leather armor helped them endure the magic of the monsters. Considering the tone of their armor, Jason imagined that someone skinned the flamed avians and turned those materials into leather armor.

The group looked to be doing pretty well by themselves, aside from the fact that they didn't have many ranged attackers or spells in their arsenal. Still, some of the monsters grew impatient and then approached to attack them… only to be split in half by massive swords and axes.

"Nothing to do here. Better luck for monsters elsewhere," Jason thought.
