CHAPTER4
(Prison tower which is found in a town known as Springfield. That was the town where Mingcheng and the magic performers, Francis, Gin, Barry and Lina shared a meal together and said their goodbyes to one another. Now locked in the prison tower is a woman who was believed to be immortal. The door opens to where the woman is chained up. She’s naked with her arms raised to the sides. A Knight dressed in red armor walks to her. His name is Garwin.)
GARWIN
Stabbed 10,000 times. Whipped 100 times. And yet her wounds heal. So the rumors are true. She is immortal. Tell me, Tessa. How did you become mortal?
TESSA
Why would I need to tell you that? You won’t believe me anyways.
(Garwin takes out his whip and whips her.)
TESSA
Aaah!
GARWIN
Ehehehe! I love the way how you squirm and scream in pain. Now tell me how did you become immortal? A criminal like you shouldn’t have a power.
(He continues to whip her.)
GARWIN
I did a background check on you. Your mother was a prostitute. She died after giving birth to you. Then you were kicked out of the brothel and became a street urchin. Then you became a thief in your childhood days. Then you were involved with the assassination of the Feudal Lord of Springfield.
TESSA
That has nothing to do with me.
GARWIN
I’m not done yet. We tried to execute you but for some reason, you can’t die. Beheading you will just make you to regenerate. Been boiled alive in boiled oil is just like a bathing to you.
(He uses hot iron bar and stabs her with it.)
TESSA

(The wound then heals.)
GARWIN
The torture will continue until the day you regret by being immortal.
TESSA
Don’t make me laugh. This torture is just child’s play to me.
GARWIN
What?! How dare you try to mock me?
(He takes out his sword and starts slashing her.)
GARWIN
You’re nothing but my play thing! How dare you try to mock me?! Know your fucking place!
(Tessa screams in agony.)
GARWIN

TESSA

GARWIN
Now where’s that elixir of immortality?
TESSA
It was located in the forest where the elves reside in.
GARWIN

KNIGHT 1

And it’s getting late. You should head home. Rumors have it that kobolds roam around these areas.
MINGCHENG
I’m strong enough to fight dozens of them.
(The knights start to laugh.)
KNIGHT 1

KNIGHT 2

MINGCHENG

KNIGHT 1

(Mingcheng slips past them and enters the tower.)
MINGCHENG
Now, that I’m inside I can look for that immortal woman.
(He roams around breaking every prison door. Each prison door he breaks, he finds bones.)
MINGCHENG
Damn the prisoners here must’ve lived a terrible life here.
