"Why are you up anyway?" Geale grumbled as he padded into the kitchen.
Marnthe had swatted him out of the bedroom to change into more decent clothes, which Geale decided was a shirt and a pair of shorts. The younger man then followed the sounds he heard in the kitchen to reunite with his bed buddy.
"I thought humans didn't start the day until the sun is up," Geale continued, glancing out the window to note that the sky was still dark.
"I have an errand today," Marnthe answered as he boiled water on the stove.
"Errand?"
"I'll be opening the restaurant bar to customers, starting with the lunch service. I have to place orders for fresh seafood."
It was a task that Marnthe planned to do the day before, if Geale hadn't crashed into his life all of a sudden. He chose to push it to the following day, opting to help the younger man settle into his temporary home first since being stranded in a foreign world could be disorienting and scary.
