Serene Beginning

Tia burst into laughter as she sat on one of the chairs in front of Marnthe's office desk. "You told him you're who?!"

"My ex-lover," Marnthe bitterly huffed, scowling behind the desk.

"And he punched me," Quin groaned, rubbing his abdomen as he sat across from Tia.

"Serves you right. Why did you even do that?"

"He's being childish," Marnthe muttered.

"You're being too easy," Quin hissed.

"He's an adult," Tia said, sighing. "You really think that kid will hurt him?"

"He's barely proven anything yet!"

"Exactly, it's too early to tell," Marnthe snapped. "If you're going to be like this, I'll ask Ainsely to buy his phone instead."

"Oh right, you're buying him a phone."

"Not while I'm here, he's not! That brat is using my old phone until I'm sure he deserves a new one."

Marnthe rolled his eyes.

"What will convince you the kid is harmless?"

"If he stops lurking around Marnthe."

"I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Anything else?"
