"Why exactly did you rope Geale into walking Serena to the bus station?" Tia asked as she poured a bottle of sparkling grape juice into glasses for Marnthe and Quin. "I thought you like him now."
The three of them were seated in the bar counter.
"Geale? I do. I was helping him," Quin explained.
"With what?" Marnthe asked.
"Getting Serena's flimsy claws off of him."
"Did you tell him to turn Serena down?" Tia gasped.
"The girl asked him out on top of baking him a cupcake with a big, red heart. We all know she doesn't have a chance with him. He might as well tell her to stop pining over him before she wastes more time and energy on him."
"Geale is single and he can like girls," Marnthe argued.
"He's in love with you," Quin and Tia replied.
Marnthe rolled his eyes. "Still, you shouldn't pressure Geale to turn someone down just because you think Serena's love for him is hopeless."
