Abandoned buildings

Tulip spends the hours of the next day at Lincoln's, settling that yesterday was too fun to end. Plus, Tulip felt leaving just like that would've made the two really awkward the next time they see each other. After what happened last night, that is.

She still has no clue of what happened that night. Not as in how they touched..kissed.. anyway. As in the sensations she felt. Not the tingly and ticklish ones, though she also had never experienced those before but she could feel it, with her heightened senses that wasn't sensitive because of what they were doing, but as if her senses that dulled over the years had come back at that moment.

Every time Lincoln closed the gap between them, mixed their bodies together, the more those dulled senses came to life. Tulip is sure of it now. This morning, she had brazenly kissed Lincoln as soon as they woke up. It was evident, it was so unbelievable how the senses that she would have to concentrate on to utilise heightened the moment their lips touched.

How had she not noticed this before? Someone that could bring those disparate perception of hers that is undoubtedly perceptible. All these years, Tulip definitely would've felt the difference when their skin touch.

Tulip mind raced, really, how did she not notice. Lincoln was always there. Always. Maybe it's a recent phenomenon ? Why now?

The thought of Seathe comes to mind. Seathe, had something happened in Seathe? Could it be? If so what had happened? Maybe her parents had asked for help and they finally found a way, and getting her powers is proof of that.

Whatever it is, this part of Tulip's body is back, and she's overjoyed.

Lincoln and Tulip is out, it's 6pm and they had just eaten fruits they picked from Lincoln's family yard where they had been growing fruits for generations.

"It's incredible. Your fruit is so sweet!"

Tulip exclaims. Lincoln nods seeing eye to eye, walking ahead of her with the boots he hadn't changed out of since picking apples and raspberries for her. Summer is over, and winter is approaching, but between these seasons it starts raining. Most of them would be inconsistent showers and cloudy days, a tiresome time.

"That's right, fresh fruit is best. The summer has helped a lot too, and now the rain will aid. Expect even sweeter ones next summer."

The two smile at each other, Lincoln mouth turning up and his eyes squint. His smile is subtle but as of recently Tulip takes notice each time.

They are walking up a hill to a place of towering stairs. There's nobody around, Tulip is curious to how Lincoln knows of a place Noah has never told her about, resulting to her having no idea of what's ahead.

Other than this grassy hill that overlooks the town, Tulip couldn't see well because of the broken down buildings that were scattered around. This place isn't so far from town, to be so abandoned like this, Is it perhaps a historical place? Tulip is curious. If her speculations is true, then she wants to open a history book and look into it. Walking through a historical place, sounds really cool.

Tulip enjoys many of the subjects in this town schools. She's interested in all of them, but she has favourites. After a contemplating, history is her most favourite. English and history has a history of altering as her no.1 favourite, but since yesterday, her favourite is now history.

Similarly to english, the history of this planet is so foreign to Tulip. The knowledge of the date of when was sent is unknown, but it was sometime 3 years ago. 3 years ago, 2 years ago is when she had started properly learning of the things of this world. Everything is fascinating to Tulip who still feels this world is unfamiliar to her. Living here, learning their language, making friends of the people here, learning of its history. Everything is so exotic, Tulip doesn't know when to stop.

Having no intention to do so, her marks in history towers her classmates. It has only been 2 years since she had started going to these lessons, but immediately her history grades crowned all the others that were rock bottom low. It wasn't from wanting to have good grades like part of her reason to be good at their language, but from interest. Instant surpassing grades were and is from interest that comes to her effortlessly.

This interest of hers hasn't left her.

"What is this place?"

Tulip asked, swinging side to side by twisting and turning her head to look at the details of the place. Lincoln answered, his steps dawdle to let her look around. Facing Tulip as he answers.

"I don't know about the buildings, I haven't asked anyone. I go here often though."

Tulip turns her head to Lincoln, tilting her head.

"You come here often but you don't know?"

"Yep."

"Why?"

Lincoln steps speed up and their distance extend. Tulip catches up to Lincoln by accelerating her speed her legs are shorter than his but her stamina doesn't lack in comparison, Lincoln knows of this too so his pace drag on.

"Why are we walking so fast?!"

"Climb the stairs!"

He looks to be in a rush, and Tulip has no idea why. Yet she makes haste and runs up the stairs. Has stairs ever been this far up? How did no one take notice of such long stairs.

The stairs that seem never ending came to an end, Tulip and Lincoln reaching the top. It's grassy, fake grass, but green with fake flower scattered, but nevertheless the sight is pleasing. There's a single bench. It's placed weirdly specific, instead of at the centre of greenery it's near the edge of the bricked up fenced edge.

That is when Tulip notice the orange sun rays casing the town.

A hand clasp around hers, a warm electricity is felt rising from her hand up her arm to her heart that accelerates. Lincoln takes hold of her and leads her to the bench, then looks at Tulip who stares at him with a reticent expression.

"Take a seat..?"

Lincoln words is said like a question, he noticed the change in Tulip's face.
