Chapter 2: Drown In It (1)

Entering the decrepit, old, broken apartment complex the stench of mold, dead rats, shit, and piss filled the entrance. The stench can be described as unbearable to any person who ever entered this apartment complex.

Even with the stench Edward continued and as he walked through the decrepit moldy hallways of the apartment the sounds of the humming of the lights got louder and louder. Everything in the apartment was just old and broken even the doors were broken, so you could just enter through it.

Nearly 30 minutes had past since Edward entered the apartment yet he still hasn't found the stairwell. Actually everything went passed was the same like same doors, walls, lights as if he's going around in circles.

Edward stopped walking finally realizing he's in a loop and that he is not alone in the apartment. Someone or something is with him either a person with an Echo or a Abnormality. Some humans in this world gained an Echo an innate trait a human is born with only a few has been born with an Echo. Echoes grant unique abilities to their bearers and each Echo has different Sin type.

The Sin types are Wrath, Gluttony, Sloth, Lust, Envy, Greed, and Pride based of the 7 Deadly Sins. The reason why they're based of primordial sinful desire because most Echoes are awakened or born with an intense desire or emotion.

But there are of course down sides to having an Echo which are incredibly dangerous. If you cannot learn to control over your own desire, emotion, or Echo you lose absolute control over yourself and become an Abnormality. Abnormalities are creatures of distorted desires, emotions, and Echoes sometimes even born without an Echo user losing control.

And right now in this broken old apartment building someone or something is making Edward go in a loop. Right now the sounds of the humming lights stopped not a single piece of sound can be heard just dead silence.

Kekeke!

Distored chuckling echoed throughout the apartment it sounded human, but not so human as the chuckle had an eerie raspiness to it. Slowly pulling out the revolver from his holster Edward caustiously looked around the hallway.

Shreek!

In front of Edward in the dark hallway a distored blood curdling shriek came out the darkness as the lights frantically flickered in and out. Slowly a arm came out the darkness, but it was no normal human arm it had a black liquid oozing out from a massive wound in its arm and the arm itself was completely an abnormal distored black color.

Another arm came out the darkness and another and another until the creature revealed itself. The creature was on all fours with 6 tentacle-like appendages with serrated teeth on them, it's body was made of mangled, rotting, human corpses, its face was mutilated with its jaw completely stick open with a massive tongue rolling down its mouth. 

Seeing this all Edward could say was.

"You're one ugly motherfucker."

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

4 bullets came out the revolver with all four connecting and hitting the creature's body yet doing absolutely no damage. Right after getting the hit the creature quickly ran toward Edward sending two of its tentacle-like appendage towards Edward.

Edward rolled out the way and aimed the revolver at the creature's appendages.

Bang! Bang!

The two bullets connected hitting one of the tentacle-like appendages causing black blood pour out from the wound and making the creature roar out in pain. It went for a grab, but Edward threw a flashbang blinding the creature for a second.

Edward jumped on it's head and reloaded his revolver with different bullets this time they shined brightly. Then Edward unloaded the entire revolver's chamber at the creature's eyes not allowing it to rest.

The creature tried to slam Edward, but couldn't due to him jumping out the way and reloading his revolver immdiately. 

Right before Edward could shoot the creature again the creature slapped him away with one of its arms causing Edward to get knocked back into wall breaking through it.

Cough! Cough!

Coughing Edward tried clearing the dust away with his hand, but is soon met with punch to the face and is quickly grabbed by the creature's tentacle-like appendage.

Kekeke!

The creature chuckled as it salivated at the sight of Edward who's finally ready to be eaten and absorbed into it. Slowly the creature opened's already opened jaw to reveal hundreds if not thousands of razor sharp teeth ready to gobble Edward up.

Edward chuckled and smirked.

"Burn in hell vagina face!" he cursed as he raised his left hand palm opened towards the creature.
