Who Is He?

When it came to having children, there were a few things that were never discussed but were accepted as a universal truth. One of those things was that no one ever really stopped being a parent.

You could be a hundred with a sixty year old and they would still need you in some shape or form. No matter their age, your child was still your child. Whether they became a banker or a bank robber, a soldier, a serial killer, a doctor, a vet, a black market quack. Or even decided to sell pictures of their toes online, that did not matter.

What mattered was that parental love, real parental love, stayed consistent no matter what. That had been something that Jane Molson had been told for years. And when she had been pregnant expecting Emily, she remembered somebody telling her that parenthood altered a person because it was one of the most fulfilling experiences on earth.
