The Origin of the Venomous Creatures

A loud noise can be a good thing. Although Henry now has two additional skills, increasing his chances against these mutant zombies, the principle of being unobtrusive still applies! The fewer mutant zombies he faces at once, the lower the risk of injury and the higher the safety factor. Even as an Awakener, Henry still does not have immunity to the zombie virus, which makes him exceedingly cautious.

"Snow, the one on the ground is yours; I'll handle the one on the roof!" Henry gently patted Snow's thick back and instructed.

"Woof-um~" Snow wagged his tail. In his enlarged state, even his tail could cause substantial damage. A few casual swipes on Henry's arm actually hurt quite a bit!

"Let's go!" At Henry's command, Snow charged out first, moving much faster than before. His massive body crashed through the glass door, and his pot-sized paws heavily slammed onto the back of the Crawler.

"Cackle cackle cackle~" The rooftop Crawler noticed Snow and was preparing to attack. Henry activated his skill, Fury. He felt as if he had taken a stimulant! His pupils dilated, his pores opened, and a wild rage surged from within.

"Ah~!" Henry leaped vigorously, covering a distance of four to five meters in one bound. With one strike of his katana, he bisected the rooftop Crawler. It was a fatal blow!

At that moment, the Crawler by the elevator also noticed Henry and screeched as it charged at him. Simultaneously, the long-haired monster, the Venomous Creature Breeder, slowly turned its face toward him. It was a face that seemed to be melting away. The skin was so slack it was nearly dripping off. Its mouth was unnaturally stretched to its ears. Utterly grotesque!

"Quack!" Although the Venomous Creature Breeder moved slowly, it was capable of attacking from a distance!

Opening its mouth, it suddenly spat out a sticky glob of liquid flying towards Henry!

"Perfect timing!" Henry sidestepped, dodging the Crawler's pounce. With a swift motion, he grabbed the Crawler's legs and yanked it backwards, placing it between himself and the Venomous Creature Breeder.

Splat! The green viscous corrosive liquid hit the Crawler directly. "Squeak~squeak~" The Crawler shrieked as wisps of green smoke rose from its back. It was clear that the corrosive substance was highly damaging. The consequences of it touching the skin were unthinkable!

[If you thought it only spat corrosive liquid, you'd be wrong. That glob contains venomous creatures! The name Venomous Creature Breeder is not for nothing!] Another prompt popped up.

"Venomous creatures?" Henry kicked forcefully, sending the Crawler flying several meters away. The effects of Fury were exhilarating! Henry felt his combat capabilities had elevated to a new level. These Crawlers were nothing more than toys in front of him!

As the Crawler was sent flying, a four-legged creature crawled out from its back. It had planned to sneak attack Henry, but instead, it was crushed to the ground by the Crawler, sliding several meters and leaving a trail of dark green slime. The venomous creature was dead! This little creature was not only fast but also covered in corrosive liquid. Any contact was no joke!

Luckily, it was extremely fragile and easily killed. "Gwa~gwa~" The Venomous Creature Breeder spat out two more blobs of green viscous liquid. Without the Crawler as a shield, Henry quickly darted forward, covering five to six meters in an instant and easily dodging the sticky attack!

Henry chose not to use an explosion-proof shield to block it because he felt it was not worth it.

If the explosion-proof shield also couldn't resist the corrosion, wouldn't that be like deliberately destroying a piece of armor?! Facing this kind of long-range attacking creature, it's best to dodge whenever possible. The shield should only be used in a life-saving situation when absolutely necessary!

Two blobs of the viscous liquid hit; one splattered against the wall, and the other landed on the floor. Soon, the marble on the wall and floor began to smoke and bubble. Before long, large pits corroded into the surfaces.

Then, two four-legged, palm-sized creatures similar to spiders, colored green, crawled out. They moved quickly towards Henry, their bodies covered in corrosive liquid, leaving a trail of corroded footprints wherever they went.

"These guys are really troublesome!" Henry swiftly approached the Crawler he had just cut down. With a fierce swing of his blade, he split the Crawler in two before it could react. Although the venomous creatures moved fast, their small size meant they couldn't keep up with Henry for long.

"Gwa!" Another blob of liquid! This time, it hit the glass wall of the gym, instantly corroding a hole through it. The venomous creature fell into the gym, and soon after, it corroded through the glass and crawled out.

"We need to finish this quickly!" The creatures were multiplying. The longer it dragged on, the worse it was for Henry.

Using the skill: Energy Strike! With a thought, Henry's left palm erupted with a burst of blue light. Then, a wave of energy shot out from his hand like the Kamehameha from Dragon Ball, striking directly at the belly of the Venomous Creature Breeder.

Sizzle... Boom! Splurch! The Venomous Creature Breeder exploded like a burst water balloon, instantly splitting open and splattering corrosive liquid everywhere.

The entire mall was filled with a pungent, irritating odor! With the death of the Venomous Creature Breeder, the venomous creatures following Henry also squealed and then collapsed on the ground... dead. It turned out that eliminating the breeder would kill all the smaller creatures too. Fortunately!

Henry had been worried before. If he encountered multiple Venomous Creature Breeders, they wouldn't need to do anything else. Just spitting out dozens of untouchable venomous creatures would certainly be lethal!

The battle on Henry's end had already ended. Snow's battle was also nearing its conclusion. Accompanied by two enlarged Howling Wolf cubs, the three wolves attacked the Crawler. The latter had both arms bitten off and one leg missing, covered in scars all over. The three Howling Wolves were fiercely competing, tugging and tearing at the Crawler's body.

After a fierce struggle, with a sharp squeal, the Crawler was violently torn into three pieces. Its spine was broken into several segments! This wasn't really a fight, it looked more like Snow was hunting with his two little brothers, now sharing their prey.

Seeing the way the Crawler died, Henry suddenly felt it seemed a bit pitiful!
