The Evil King's True Eye and Z-Shaped Jitter

The third player from the Excellent Era was Guo Yang, a Qi Master. He inherited the Qi-Chong Yun-Shui technique from the first vice-captain, Wu Xuefeng. However, his skill level was far inferior to Wu Xuefeng's.

Guo Yang stepped onto the stage... Three minutes later... he was defeated.

Tyranny leads 2:1.

Ye Qiu, wearing a mask, still couldn't hide his displeasure, which was evident from his eyes. Liu Hao could see that Ye Qiu was not happy.

There was a significant gap in the operational skills of the Excellent Era players. Ye Qiu and Su Mucheng were T0 and T1 level players, respectively, while the others were ranked in the T3 or even T4 tiers. The team's overall strength was not just weak; they also failed to follow commands.

After the individual matches, it was time for the arena battles. Liu Hao stood up voluntarily, saying, "I'll go."

Ye Qiu and Su Mucheng had no response, but Wang Ze, Shen Jian, and He Ming applauded enthusiastically, "Go, Hao-ge!"

Liu Hao glanced at Cui Li standing nearby and smirked internally. Let me go easy on him. That's impossible.

Compared to the faint applause and cheers of the past, Liu Hao now had an all-star aura. The crowd's cheers were deafening.

Liu Hao's opponent was Wang Chixuan, a Gunner with the ID "Negative Nine Degrees."

Wang Chixuan was a veteran, having debuted in the fifth season, the same time as Liu Hao. However, his skill level was average, similar to Liu Hao's, with the best description being "consistently stable."

"Liu Hao, you've changed so much in just two months that I hardly recognise you," Wang Chixuan said in a friendly manner.

"No worries, after I crush you, you'll remember me forever," Liu Hao replied with a smile.

Wang Chixuan frowned and snorted, "Arrogant. Don't think you're great just because you luckily beat Han. You only won due to a health advantage. Without Ye Qiu's help, you couldn't have won against Han."

"Heh." Liu Hao didn't bother with more banter. He selected the map and the arena, keeping things simple.

As they entered the map, their characters faced each other from a distance, with no obstacles or cover in between. The moment the countdown ended, Liu Hao controlled "Total Darkness" to rush toward "Negative Nine Degrees."

Wang Chixuan didn't make any unnecessary moves. "Negative Nine Degrees" stood still, aiming his cold gun at "Total Darkness."

"Thirty steps... twenty-five steps... here!"

As "Total Darkness" entered the attack range, "Negative Nine Degrees" fired, the dense bullets forming a near-net, blocking all escape routes.

Rapid Fire, a Gunner skill, significantly increases attack speed.

"Negative Nine Degrees used Rapid Fire right from the start. It seems Wang Chixuan is aiming for a quick attack to seize the tempo. 'Total Darkness' is in trouble. The mid-range chanting attacks of a Spellblade are heavily restricted by a Gunner," Pan Lin said nervously.

As expected, the health of "Total Darkness" should have steadily decreased under such a dense barrage of bullets. Dodging and blocking seemed impossible.

Cui Li watched from below, feeling pleased. "Yes, just like that, keep reducing his health..."

Everyone's eyes were fixed on "Total Darkness's" health bar, guessing how much it would decrease under "Negative Nine Degrees's" rapid fire.

However, the result was surprising. Even after "Negative Nine Degrees" had emptied two clips, "Total Darkness" was still nearly at full health.

How could this be?

The bullets missed? Impossible. Even without precise aiming, such a Gatling gun-like spray shouldn't miss every shot.

Wang Chixuan was baffled. He had aimed his gun at "Total Darkness" personally. His professional-level skill shouldn't allow such inaccuracy. He had even seen the bullets pass through "Total Darkness," so why was there no damage?

"Did I bring the wrong weapon?" Wang Chixuan wondered. He quickly checked his equipment. The full-level silver guns were correct, so why was there no damage?

Wang Chixuan began to suspect a game bug, but Glory hadn't had a bug in years, and it was unlikely to happen today. He chose to observe further rather than ask the referee to pause.

The audience was buzzing with speculation. Some thought "Total Darkness" must be wearing heavy armour, focusing on defence and making it hard to inflict damage. Others suspected a game bug or even that Liu Hao was using cheats.

"Ye Qiu, do you see what's happening?" Su Mucheng asked, eyes wide. "Is it a bug? Bullets hitting but no damage?"

"It's not a bug," Ye Qiu confirmed. "Usually, bullets hitting 'Total Darkness' would cause slight rigidity, but there was none. This means the bullets didn't actually hit."

"How could they not hit? I saw them pass through 'Total Darkness'," Su Mucheng said, puzzled.

"Did you notice 'Total Darkness' twitching when the bullets passed through?" Ye Qiu asked.

"I did. What does that mean?" Su Mucheng asked, tapping her lips. "In Glory, making the character twitch is simple: you press the left and right keys quickly while swinging the mouse. It's a movement technique you developed called the Z-shaped Jitter..."

Su Mucheng paused, realising something.

Ye Qiu smiled. "Yes, that twitch was the Z-shaped Jitter. Liu Hao's execution was so fast that it wasn't obvious."

"Impossible!" Su Mucheng shook her head, not out of disbelief but astonishment. "No one can do the Z-shaped Jitter that quickly, especially to dodge such small bullets."

"Theoretically, it's possible," Ye Qiu mused. "I can also perform such an extreme Z-shaped Jitter, but dodging rapid-fire bullets requires predicting their trajectory in advance."

"You're saying... Liu Hao predicted 'Negative Nine Degrees' bullet paths?" Su Mucheng was incredulous. She always believed in Ye Qiu, but doubting Liu Hao's ability to predict Gunner's bullet paths took a lot of work.

"If Liu Hao can truly predict them, is he even human?" Su Mucheng sighed. Dark

...

"Hey, keep your view steady; you're about to fly!" Liu Hao typed.

"Total Darkness" had already advanced to "Negative Nine Degrees," and with a swift upward slash, it was like a crescent moon...

Blade Draw!

In the next moment, Wang Chixuan's view spun toward the blue sky as "Negative Nine Degrees" was sent flying...

Wang Chixuan was stunned, unable to understand how "Total Darkness" managed to reach him like an untouchable ghost.
