What do you want from me?

I enter the upscale restaurant with a hint of trepidation. My ex-fiancé's sister Visha invited me to dinner. A face that I don't really like, in fact she's already waiting for me at an elegant table. His smile instantly puts me on my guard.

I sit down reluctantly, aware that this smile can only hide evil motives.

-Hello, I said with a polite but distant tone.

She looks at me with a rather strange look.

-It's been a long time, she told me

-Why did you call me here?, I asked him

-In your opinion?, she replied

-I hate riddles, I told him, rolling my eyes.

-We're a bit the same, she smiles, I hate riddles too

-Can you concentrate for two seconds and tell me what the hell you're doing here?, I started to get irritated

-I came to see you because I heard that you wanted to break off the engagement, she admitted to me

-And?, I asked him perplexed

-I don't understand why it's only now that you want to break off the engagement?, she asked me perplexed.

-I don't have the right to do what I want?, I replied dryly

-Yes, a sly smile formed on his lips, but will our parents accept?

-...

-I think you already know the answer, she said to me

The waiter approached us to take our order, but I was distracted by the subtle game of glances between her and me.

I wonder what she's up to this time, I thought with a frown.

-Did you just come to tell me that?, I questioned her on guard

-Not just for that, she admits to me

Throughout the meal, a silenceglacial forms.

Finally, dessert arrives and I let out a slight sigh of relief knowing that this dinner will end soon.

But as she lifted a spoon to her mouth, something dangerous filled her eyes, and I knew in that moment that something was coming.

I hold my breath, waiting to see what she has in store for me.

-I heard you met someone else, she said suddenly with a wicked smile.

My heart stops for a moment.

-Who told you that?, I asked him coldly

-I have my sources, she said amusedly, so?

-No one ever told you that you should mind your own business, I retorted coldly.

-Not really, she replied.

I wipe my mouth with a clean napkin next to my plate before getting up, picking up my drink and pouring it over his head.

-I hate it when people meddle in my affairs, I admitted to him coldly, do you really think that if I didn't have a relationship with Donovan I would be so nice to you?

The drops fall one by one on the floor, I look indifferently at his completely soaked shirt and pants.

-Now you know what it feels like when the wheel turns, I smiled at him

The wheel is turning and I hope it crushes you in the process.
