Show me it's worth it...

The meadow stretched as far as the eye could see, a few blades of grass waving gently in the light evening breeze.

The glow of the moon reflected in the empty bottles that littered the ground around us, a testament to the hours we had spent chatting and drinking. His blue eyes, piercing and mysterious, were like shards of clear sky in the settling darkness. I had only seen him three times before, yet he seemed to know more about me than anyone.

He lit a cigarette and, after a drag, handed it to me. I had never smoked before, but that night I wanted to try.

So I accepted the cigarette hesitantly, taking an awkward drag that made me cough. He smiled, a smile both tender and amused.

-Why this pain in your eyes?, he asked softly.

I looked away, staring at the stars in the sky that seemed so far away.

-Because of my ex-fiancé, I smile sadly

The words seemed to escape my lips without my control. He moved a little closer to me, his gaze never leaving mine.

-If I had been him I would never have made you suffer

I look at him in surprise.

-I'm serious Hyun, he told me

I took a shaky breath and suddenly whispered.

-And that girl in the cafe?

He stares at me perplexed, his eyes never straying from mine.

-Which girl ?

-That girl at the cafe who was talking to you, I explained to him, looking away

He smiles amusedly at me while I just blush.

-It's not funny, I muttered

-She's my cousin, he explains to me before adding, and now I would like to know if you would be ready to give me a chance

-A chance?, I repeated, staring at him, so show me you're worth it

I feel his warm breath against my skin, and his eyes stare at my lips with an intensity that makes me shudder. The air around us was filled with a palpable tension, an alchemy that was just waiting to burst.

In that moment, all hesitation seemed to disappear. Our lips met, his tongue tangling with mine, his hot breath mixing with mine.

It was both sweet and so hot.

He slowly pulls away from my lips, leaving an electric sensation where our mouths had briefly joined. His forehead rests delicately against mine, our breaths mingling in the cool night air. In a barely audible whisper, he admits that I drive him crazy.

A shiver runs down my spine at his words, but I can't help but laugh softly.

-You haven't seen anything yet, I whisper to him in a soft and sweet voice, my eyes diving into his with a mischievous glint.

His gaze darkened slightly, desire mingling with a disturbing intensity. My words seem to have captivated him, as if a silent promise floated between us, full of passion and audacity.

-So, get ready, he whispers, his warm breath caressing my skin.

-Because I intend to become crazy about you, he added

A teasing smile stretches my lips as I move closer to him, our bodies pressing against each other in this isolated meadow.

A shiver runs down my spine as he whispers his name in my ear, a soft melody echoing in my mind. "Koen," repeated like an incantation, a name that now resonates in my heart with a strange familiarity. I savor each syllable, as if it contained the secret of this budding bond between us.

-Koen, I repeat in a low voice, letting the sound roll off my tongue.

I snuggled closer to him, enjoying the warmth of his body against mine.

-How did you know I was Huyn?

-Secret

In the darkness of the night, I think to myself that this blue-eyed stranger named Koen might become something more than just a stranger from now on.

I was going to show Donovan that without him I could move forward.
