The blue stardust floating in the wind vanishes in an instant, as if it never existed in this world.
But the black top hat and woolen coat that flutter down with it testify that the tall man was just standing here, disappearing into thin air.
"Douglas..."
Einstein's mind still reflects the black shadow of the hand on the moon. He steps forward, walking to the spot where Douglas just disappeared, and picks up the black top hat that had fallen to the ground.
Touching the inside with the back of his hand, he can still faintly feel the warmth that hasn't yet left.
He stands, momentarily bewildered on the spot.
As a physicist, he completely doesn't understand how Douglas disappeared;
but what he understands even less is—
Why did Douglas leave so decisively?
Without even saying goodbye.
Just waved his hand and left, catching him off guard.
"Why?"
Einstein feels the sorrow rise within him once more.
He can't figure it out.
