Chapter 301: An Old Acquaintance

Through the crack of the door, Shandela saw flickering firelight inside. Holding her breath and listening for a while, she could hear the breathing and heartbeats of two people... This number was also within the reasonable range for a covert meeting.

Even so, she still entered the barn with her sword in one hand, maintaining a state of alert.

"You're here."

The two men, upon hearing the noise, turned to look at her.

They were two men, one in his forties, the other quite young, around twenty-something. Both were dressed in black robes, with cloaks hiding their body contours, making it difficult to discern their abilities at a glance. But the sharpness in their eyes indicated that they were certainly not farmers living nearby.

"Who are you? Why did you ask to meet me? What exactly do you know?" Shandela asked impatiently.

"You should have guessed, right? Otherwise, you wouldn't have come." replied the young man.
