Chapter 12: Goddess An Lan

In the restroom, An Lan's pretty face was flushed red, full of shyness!

She had never been so naked in front of a man before in her life.

Thinking that everything that should and shouldn't have been seen had been seen by Tang Luo, her cheeks became burning hot, and her heart was somewhat panicked.

A few minutes later, her heart finally calmed down a bit.

What should she do next?

She couldn't just stay naked in the restroom the whole time, could she?

After hesitating for a few seconds, An Lan softly called out, "Hey, could you hand me my clothes?"

"No."

Tang Luo's voice came from outside the restroom.

An Lan was startled; why was he just outside the door?

Also, what did he mean by 'no'? Did he want to do something to her?

"Your clothes were all torn to shreds by you last night, and can't be worn anymore."

Tang Luo's voice rang out again.

Relieved upon hearing this, An Lan's heart filled with gratitude toward Tang Luo when she thought of her crazed state under the influence of the medicine last night.

After all, under those circumstances, the fact that he had refrained from doing anything to her was truly rare!

"There should be a towel in the restroom, right? Why not wrap yourself with a towel first?"

Tang Luo stood at the door of the restroom, suggesting.

With no response from inside, Tang Luo shrugged his shoulders, sat down beside the bed, lit a cigarette and pondered how to talk with this girl.

Before he could decide, the restroom door opened, and An Lan walked out.

Tang Luo looked up, and his eyes lit up; she was damn tempting, a top-quality beauty indeed!

The not-too-large towel barely covered her essentials, exposing large expanses of milky skin, offering a different kind of allure.

An Lan noticed Tang Luo's gaze, feeling a bit shy internally, but not as flustered.

Just now, she had come to understand a lot.

If he hadn't killed her last night, it meant he didn't plan to silence her by killing, otherwise why would he bother to take her out of Zhou Dafa's villa?

"Thank you for saving me."

An Lan looked at Tang Luo, suppressing her embarrassment, and said gratefully.

Tang Luo felt a bit of satisfaction upon hearing An Lan's words; at least she didn't take him for a rapist!

"Heh, it's nothing, just happened to be there, no big deal." Tang Luo smiled, extending his right hand: "My name is Tang Luo. What's your name?"

An Lan looked at Tang Luo's extended right hand, puzzled. He didn't recognize her?

"What's wrong?"

Tang Luo, seeing An Lan's strange expression, asked curiously.

"Ah? No, nothing, hello, my name is An Lan."

An Lan quickly shook her head and shook hands with Tang Luo.

"An Lan? Nice name."

Tang Luo felt the softness of An Lan's small hand, and gently squeezed it.

"..."

An Lan's face blushed, and she quickly withdrew her hand, this guy didn't seem as honest as she had thought!

But did he really not recognize her?

Or even, had he never heard her name before?

"An Lan, let's chat?"

Tang Luo moved his gaze away from An Lan's chest, lit another cigarette, and took a deep drag.

"Ah? Oh, chat about what?"

An Lan finished speaking, pulled the blanket over, and wrapped it around herself.

"We'll talk about Zhou Dafa's matter."

Tang Luo got straight to the point without beating around the bush.

Hearing Tang Luo's words, the bloody image of Zhou Dafa missing half his head involuntarily surfaced in An Lan's mind. Her pretty face turned white, and she hurriedly said, "You, you can rest assured, I won't tell anyone. I know nothing."

"Mm."

"Zhou Dafa, did he really do those things?"

An Lan hesitated as something came to mind.

"Yes, the things I talked about last night, he's done them, like selling children to people from the Island Nation for experiments..."

Tang Luo simply repeated to An Lan the things Zhou Dafa had done.

Listened with outrage, An Lan said, "He really deserves to die for doing so many unconscionable things!"

"Yes, he indeed deserved to die, which is why he's dead," said Tang Luo calmly.

"You... who are you? Why are you doing these things? Are you one of those righteous avengers, fighting against the forces of evil?"

An Lan stared at Tang Luo, a bit excited.

"Eh, you've been watching too many Hollywood movies, haven't you? Are there so many avatars of justice?" Tang Luo replied somewhat speechless, "I am merely executing divine punishment, killing some people who deserve to die, that's all."

"Oh, I see."

After some idle chat, the two gradually got more familiar with each other.

"An Lan, now that Zhou Dafa is dead, the police will likely investigate you."

"Then, what should I say?"

"You just need to insist that you were drunk, and Zhou Dafa left you on the side of the road... Just don't admit that you went to the villa, that's all."

"Oh, I see. That will do?"

"Even though the police may have their suspicions, they don't have much evidence, and they won't do anything to you."

"I understand, I'll be careful!"

Tang Luo smiled and nodded, though he was not really worried. He still had his final trump card.

Nevertheless, it was better not to attract police attention; otherwise, it would inevitably lead to some trouble!

"By the way, where's my bag? Is it at Zhou Dafa's villa?"

An Lan suddenly remembered something and hurriedly asked.

"When I left, I brought it with me. It's over there."

Tang Luo retrieved it and handed it to An Lan.

An Lan breathed a sigh of relief, took out her phone from the bag, and turned it on. She saw dozens of missed calls and messages flooding in.

"So, I'm going to make a call first."

"Okay."

An Lan found a number and called back.

As soon as the call was answered, an anxious female voice came through, "An Lan, where did you run off to? I couldn't contact you all night, I was nearly frantic!"

"Sister Chen, I ran into some trouble last night, I'll tell you about it when we meet... I'm at a hotel now, could you bring me a change of clothes?"

"Hotel? Clothes? An Lan, you..."

"Sister Chen, don't ask too many questions for now."

"Okay, which hotel, I'll head right over."

An Lan gave the name of the hotel and hung up.

"An Lan, since your friend is coming over, I'll take my leave now."

Tang Luo didn't plan to stay any longer; he still had to go back and look over the spoils from last night!

An Lan watched Tang Luo, feeling a bit reluctant to see him go, but thinking of Sister Chen's imminent arrival, she nodded, "Okay."
