As Sapphire approached our table, her piercing gaze locked onto Zaya, making it clear she wasn't here for small talk. The entire cafeteria seemed to hold its breath as Sapphire's smirk grew into a grin that was, frankly, a little unsettling.
"So, Zaya," Sapphire began, her voice smooth and confident, "would you care to go out with me sometime? You seem like you'd make the perfect… challenge."
