"Damnit, what the hell is going on here?"

"Sir! Another report just came in. The fifth battalion was just destroyed."

"Whaaat!"

"N-No way, that can't be right. Just how strong are those things?"

"Mr. President! Shroopolis is done for. We should send a nuclear warhead to eliminate those bastards before more cities are affected."

"But there are civilians there. How can we disregard our own men?"

"That's a sacrifice we must bear. Did you see the footage of those things fighting? It's either Shroopolis or our entire Shroomania will fall."

"I concur."

"Me as well."

"And I."

"We're all waiting on you, sir."

"... Will it work?"

"... We're not certain. So far, all the munitions we've hurled at them have been ineffective."

"Sir, this is our only hope."

"... Very well. I'm giving out the order..."

'Bang!'

"Emergency!"

"Calm down, soldier! Can't you see we're having an important discussion?"

"I'm sorry, sir, but..."

"What is it?"

"The moon. Sir, one of our three moons just got destroyed. And not only that, it seems they've landed on Cactusville."

A few moments ago, as this meeting was about to begin, Michael had become serious about facing the shadow beast. Since the weapons here couldn't harm him, he didn't focus much on their militia. Instead, he and the shadow beast clashed. With cosmic green energy focused on his fists, he punched the beast's face, sending it crashing to the ground. Michael flew down towards it, breaking the sound barrier as he took off from the air.

"Damn. They're on the move," the mushroom Airforce said as they followed to attack. Ground forces had arrived as well, starting with tanks firing at them. Michael complained inwardly about the smoke blocking his vision. After he landed, he couldn't find the beast. More so, shells rained down on him. He closed his eyes and focused, feeling the air shift on his left. He ducked as the shadow beast's claw swung past, then it disappeared again.

On his right, Michael sensed a change and dodged as if he were in ultra-low mode. This time, he grabbed its paw, pulling it out of its portal and slamming it to the ground. The creature opened its mouth, channeling energy, and let out a beam, sending Michael straight up like a shooting star, crashing onto the moon.

"Awww," Michael groaned as he got up. Immediately, he turned his upper body to the left as the beast came at him, baring its fangs. Michael grabbed it by the neck and slammed it to the ground. Recalling what the dog did, he opened his mouth and fired a green beam straight through its tail and the back of its head, making a bigger crater and sending larger chunks of debris into space.

Infuriated, the beast let out an explosion, which Michael met with a counter-attack. He released a large amount of energy, firing it like a ki blast from his right hand. The clash of energies created an explosion that sent the moon flying backward, away from the Mushroom World. As the moon exploded, the clash of energy sent Michael back to the planet, crashing down on a statue in what seemed to be a tourist site.

The mushroom people looked at Michael with fear as he got up. Some took pictures, while others called the authorities. Michael clicked his tongue. "Damn thing won't die," he said, looking up. Soon, phones began to fall from people's hands as they looked up to the sky. There was a red and black bright ball getting nearer and nearer. Panic ensued, and alarms rang out, warning the people. Michael looked up with conviction, recalling moments from various fictions and the theories he learned about physic energy.

He held out his palm as if receiving something, and a green ball the size of a basketball formed. As he raised his hand higher, the ball grew immensely bigger, about the diameter of a bus. With a loud and heavy thud, causing the air to move as if breaking the sound barrier, the ball of energy took off towards the descending miniature sun far in the sky. The two collided, and the explosion that resulted lit up the world as if the sun was brought closer.

But the explosion wasn't the end of it. Michael and the beast clashed in the heart of the explosion. The shadow beast was heavily injured at this point, and Michael was now overpowering it. As the explosion faded, the bright sky turned dark, and the cloudy weather cleared. Michael hovered in the sky with his hand piercing the chest of the creature as it slowly turned into ash.
