Her eyes blazed with sorrow. Bailey furrowed her brows and stretched. She let out a cute grunt that seemed an anathema to her anger and sorrow. But still…

Her elbow dug into her desk and ignored the papers in her way. They fell to the ground as Bailey focused her complete and whole attention on me.

I watched as she buried her cheek into her fist. Gently she cocked her head towards me like I was some mystery that needed solving.

Bailey opened her mouth to elaborate on her memory. But I could tell that it caused her so much grief. 

It was in her expressions. I had never seen her so... so caught up in the past. Like she both wanted to be there and experiencing it again. All the while burying it in the deepest recesses of her mind.

I made sure she didn't have to recount that memory. My mouth moved before my mind. I denied her any opportunity to tell a single word.

"Don't."
