Interlude 7.00

Charlotte pov

Hmm…

I hummed to myself. My feet carried me to some unknown place. Not too far from where I was staying. There wasn't much to see. Just an endless tide of trees.

Each of them held a certain amount of snow. With the slightest kick it would fall over in a massive pile.

I felt the presence of my confidant behind me. Ian. He followed me without a single complaint. There wasn't a single word that came out of his mind.

He perched against one of the trees, the snow fell to the ground and I jumped to the branches. Settling my back against it.

The scenery around me changed. The endless trees were no longer endless. And between my gaze was the backdrop of a massive battle.

Beasts cried out fire. A wyvern roared and cracked the glowing barrier with but a roar of his breath. Flames seemed to consume the whole world.

But contrary to my first vision that flame didn't do a damn thing.
