Waking up

As Elvis Dayrius opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was the soft glow of the dimmed lights in the employee resting chamber. The room was quiet, save for the gentle hum of machinery from the adjacent corridors. Confusion enveloped him as he tried to sit up, his mind struggling to piece together what had just happened.

"I must be dreaming," Elvis muttered to himself, his voice echoing softly in the empty chamber. He looked around, taking in the sterile walls and the neatly arranged cots. Memories flooded back to him in disjointed fragments. The malfunctioning Virtual Reality pod, the sensation of falling, and then... nothing.

Slowly, realization dawned on him. He had died. But instead of an eternal void, he had woken up in the very game he had been playing. His heart quickened as he remembered the countless hours he had spent researching Romble Inc, the nefarious corporation at the center of the game's plot.

Elvis rose to his feet, his mind racing with conflicting emotions. On one hand, he was exhilarated by the prospect of immersing himself in this new world, a world of magic and mystery. On the other hand, he was filled with uncertainty and doubt. Did he want to be a part of this evil organization, even in a virtual sense?

Walking over to the mirror on the wall, Elvis studied his reflection. His sharp features and piercing gaze were now framed by the uncertainty that clouded his mind. He knew he was smart and calculating , the perfect traits for a researcher poised to be a researcher but for Romble Inc? He was not sure, as he stared at his own reflection, he felt a flicker of something else – a moral compass that whispered to him from deep within.

Shaking himself out of his daze, Elvis called out, "System!" A holographic screen materialized before him, displaying a wealth of information.
