Chapter 76: Simply Stacking a BUFF

White felt his mother was a bit strange today.

She claimed nothing was wrong, but her tone was different from usual.

It was like she was running on a treadmill, speaking with a bit of panting.

Most importantly, she was sometimes incoherent, clearly not focused on the conversation, yet she kept holding him up, babbling on about this and that.

It was unusual.

"Mother, is there someone else in your bedroom?"

White furrowed his brows, unable to shake off such a suspicion.

"No... Ah! Yes."

"What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine, but... where were we?"

"You said there's someone else in your bedroom, who is it?"

"Oh, it's someone your godmother recommended... what? Oh, an acupuncturist... he knows some... erm... mysterious rituals from the East."

"Acupuncture?" White wasn't suspicious, "I've heard of it, heard it's good for the body."

"You've heard of it, that's great."

"May I come in?" White knocked on the door, "If you don't mind."
