The ordinary buildings and pavilions became so weird in the Spiritual Realm, as if they had come to life, like trapped beasts on the Earth, floating and swaying. An unknown substance adhered to their surfaces, bumpy and uneven, transforming everything into bizarre fleshly creations.
The courtyards resembled deep, bottomless maws; the winding streets twisted like writhing intestines, and a few towering buildings grew spikes, like venomous snakes lifting their heads in search for prey.
Yet, the colors were so vibrant and dazzling, a spectrum of hues like a beautiful, yet cruel, fairy-tale tapestry.
Jiang Lu and Lucifer found their perspectives had left their bodies. They still maintained the poses of their Spiritual Bodies from before the astral projection, sitting at the top of the lightning rod, but their minds were unfettered, no longer bound by any constraints.
