Chapter 123: Do You Want to Eat People?

Wang Ying's husband, Liu Jian, was just over forty, fairly short, with a balding forehead that made him look older than he actually was. Additionally, he wasn't particularly attractive with a face full of blemishes and a red, bulbous, alcoholic nose. Glancing from Liu Jian to Wang Ying, one could easily be reminded of the saying "a delicate flower perched upon a pile of dung".

Despite not being much to look at, Liu Jian, as the village secretary, had quite a good setup at home. Their house was a two-story western-style building that he'd built himself, designed like a modern villa, and stylishly furnished with a hint of European flair.
