Surprise at the Arrival Gate

While Maya was high above the clouds, pondering her reunion with Avin, back in India, Avin was busy orchestrating a surprise to make her homecoming unforgettable. He wanted to add a playful twist to their reunion, reflecting their deep connection and shared sense of humor.

The day before Maya's return, Avin sent her a message that was a mix of apology and mischief: "Hey love, I'm swamped with meetings tomorrow. Can you catch an auto from the airport? Sorry, but it's just one of those days! 😬"

Maya, slightly disappointed but understanding, replied, "No worries, I can manage. See you at home then!"

Little did she know, Avin had something entirely different planned. He spent the evening coordinating with their friends and family, planning to surprise Maya right at the airport.

On the day of Maya's arrival, Avin arrived at the airport early, armed with a bouquet of her favorite flowers—lilies and roses—and a handmade sign that read, "Welcome back, my star!" He enlisted the help of airport staff to let him into a spot where he could easily surprise her as she exited.

As Maya walked through the arrival gate, her eyes scanning the crowd for a taxi stand, she heard a familiar voice shouting, "Excuse me, miss! Are you looking for a ride?"

Turning toward the voice, her fatigue turned to shock and then joy as she saw Avin standing there, a cheeky grin on his face, holding up his sign. The crowd around them chuckled and clapped, in on the surprise.

"Seriously, Avin? I thought I was going home alone!" Maya exclaimed, laughing as she ran into his arms.

"I couldn't let you take an auto on your first day back, could I? How could I miss seeing this face light up like this?" Avin replied, his voice warm with emotion as he handed her the flowers.

"Oh, you're impossible. I should've known you'd have something up your sleeve," Maya said, her eyes sparkling with tears of happiness.

As they walked hand in hand out of the airport, Avin couldn't resist teasing her a bit more. "So, how was your auto ride? Comfortable enough?"

"Very funny. This was better than any cab ride. Thank you for this, Avin. It means the world to me," Maya responded, squeezing his hand.

"I wanted to make your first moments back special. But I promise, the surprises don't end here. There's so much more waiting for you at home," Avin whispered, hinting at more plans he had arranged.

The drive home was filled with Maya recounting tales from her trip, her experiences, and the little adventures she had embarked on. Avin listened intently, thrilled to have her back, their conversation flowing effortlessly.

As they neared home, Maya felt a profound sense of completeness—not just from being back in India but from being with Avin, her partner in every sense. This reunion reinforced their bond, reminding them that no matter where life took them, they always had a home in each other.
