Chapter 14: Johan’s Problems Part 2

The next day the doctors came for the routine check-up and after they finished everyone left the room. Only the father and son were left to have some private talk. Johan was looking at his father with a sad and concerned expression. His father asked:

What is it?

Nothing, just thinking about work stuff.

I am your father. I know it's not about work. Let me tell you. You are thinking about why this happened and why you were not aware of my situation.

If you know, then why didn't you tell me anything? If you knew I would be worried why didn't you take better care of yourself?

Because I am your father you are not mine. I don't want you to get worried or be sad or have a load of work that makes you tired.

But it is not as important as your health and well-being.

Hear yourself. You worry about me and then tell me to not worry about you?

I know, but we could have shared the work so that neither of us would suffer.

I understand your situation but one day when you marry you will understand.

When? I want to see my grandchildren and play with them and adore them.

After that Johan's father tells Johan about some work-related stuff and things that should be taken care of first. The father and son talk for a while. After their talks finish Johan gets up to go.

I know. Just saying this so that you won't start worrying and start causing problems for yourself again.

Okay, I will take care of myself. The doctors will tell you everything either way.

I don't care about what they say. I take your word more seriously than what they say.

After saying that they say their goodbyes and Johan leaves. When he gets in his car his phone rings. when he sees it's David who has called him and a few missed calls from him as well.

Hello David.

Hello, are you all right?

Yes, I am fine.

You don't sound good should I come to you?

There is no need I am fine just couldn't sleep properly last night.

Is everything all right? You didn't pick up your phone as well.

I will tell you about it later and I didn't pick up my phone because I left it in the car.

Johan hangs up the phone and starts moving towards his father's company. In the company, he does the work that takes priority, and after finishing them he explains what should be done next to the stuff and appoints personnel to some posts so that the work doesn't stop and goes on smoothly after that he starts moving toward his office. In the office, he explains the situation to David. David becoming worried asks:

Is he all right now?

Yes, he is fine. He just needs to stay in the hospital for a while longer and nothing serious.

I see, is there anything for me to do?

I know this will be a burden but

Suddenly David cuts him off and says:

There you go again. It won't bother me just tell me what needs to be done before I get angry at these stupid remarks of you.

Okay, you just have to handle the work here when I am not around because I have to do some stuff at the company as well.

No problem. You can relax and leave things here to me. If anything happens I will call you.

After that, this situation goes on for a while. At this time Johan working at two different places puts a great tool on Johan. The fatigue and pressure can be seen on his face. David even when noticing this can't do anything. Even when he told Johan to completely leave the hall to him Johan replied:

I can't put a lot of burden on your shoulders. Don't worry I will handle things and things will go smoothly.

This remark of Johan worries David even more but as he knows Johan he doesn't persist much and lets him do things the way he likes.

After some time, Johan's father gets discharged from the hospital and after a few months, things start to go back to how they were. As the saying goes there is always light at the end of the tunnel. The only problem that occurred was that the contact lessened between David and Khatoon. Which made Khatoon worry. During this period David starts realizing important emotions and feelings that have been shadowed by the constant distraction of meeting Khatoon.
