"Sweetheart, be good, I'll go get you some water."
Gong Heng poured her a cup of hot water, helped her sit up in bed, and brought the water to her lips.
Mu Mian gently drank two small sips and immediately felt much better, but her body was very sticky with sweat. She tried to struggle out of his embrace.
Gong Heng's voice floated down from above, "What's wrong?"
She weakly said, "I sweated a lot, it's sticky."
Gong Heng chuckled, measured the temperature of her head with his chin, and then said, "It's okay, the fever has gone down."
He gently lifted Mu Mian from the bed and took her to the hot spring, carefully removing her nightgown and letting her sit in the warm water.
She let out a comfortable whimper.
The steam from the hot spring washed away all the exhaustion, and she lazily sprawled against the hot spring's rocky walls, letting him wipe her body down.
Her long eyelashes did not flutter at all.
Perhaps due to the fever, she seemed tired again.
