During her marriage, Paula never knew what happiness meant. She loved Len Bertram sincerely but all he did was insult her for two years. Even despite his indifference, Paula's love for this man didn't fade.

She believed he would come to realize that her feelings weren't false.

Unfortunately, she was set up by her devious mother-in-law and her stepsister. 

Len believed them, which was unsurprising, and sent her away from the Bertram family as punishment.

Len appeared more composed than he had been six years ago, but Paula was nothing like she had been.

*Excerpt* 

Paula huffed sharply as she stared at the distant man in front of her. "Mr. Bertram! What I do is none of your business? The fact that you are acting as though we have known each other for years when we ended our relationship badly is presumptuous, and we are not on good terms."

"I'm sorry" Those words, as heavy as his heart, fell from his mouth. "I was a jerk and I know I deserve nothing from you but please..."

"Don't get on my nerves, Mr. Bertram!" Paula yelled at him before he could say anything more, expressing her disinterest in listening to him.

However, Len's next actions surprised her.

He moved an inch closer to her, brushing off the strand of hair on her face. "I don't want to get on your nerves, Paula but I want to get into here." With his finger pointed directly at her chest, he tapped her heart.

Paula's heart began racing wildly and at that precise moment she realized that Len was a fire she would never be able to put out.  

What will she do now? Will she be able to put out that fire?

Don't get on my nerves, Mr. Bertram!

"Drake, is it really true that you are in a relationship with your former partner, Paula Maillet?"

Drake looked into the camera, his lips curling into a smile at the sudden question.

He was on a show right now, and although the question seemed a little abrupt, he had honestly anticipated it and had prepared beforehand.

"We are not yet in a relationship" Drake answered truthfully. "Paula isn't really all who you all think she is. She is a sweet soul, a really sweet soul."

The Host passed Drake a surprised look, glancing at the direction of the show. Their ratings were soaring.

"Didn't you two just meet? You sound like you've known each other for too long" The Host questioned, her eyes brimming with curiosity.
