Timeline, back to the present.
After receiving a call from Tachibana Masamune, Gen Chisei's pupils contracted sharply, and a chill ran through him, deep to his bones.
"What did you do?!" As the head of the Execution Bureau and the heir to Yamata no Orochi, Gen Chisei rarely showed such an expression.
He looked like he was being consumed by fear, his face as pale as paper, and his pupils were filled with horrific bloodshot veins. His emotions shifted from shock and fear to uncontrollable anger.
"Heh, didn't you already guess?"
The voice of Osho appeared to come from all directions, making it impossible to pinpoint its source.
"Chisei-kun, what's going on?"
Adam frowned and said in a deep voice, "If necessary, we can help."
"Boss?"
Crow and Yasha saw Gen Chisei's reaction and immediately realized this situation was likely much worse than they had anticipated.
"You'd better stop wasting time with me and head to Tokyo Bay."
The mocking voice in the darkness made Gen Chisei seethe with rage, his temples throbbing, but he was helpless.
"Crow, Yasha, take Mr. Adam back." Gen Chisei took a deep breath, then gave a fierce look and commanded, "Sakura, Erii, come with me."
However, as he was about to leave, Adam stopped him: "Chisei-kun, I believe Cassel needs to know what's happening. Please tell us the truth."
"This has nothing to do with you," Gen Chisei nearly ground his teeth in frustration, his hatred so intense it seemed to radiate from his golden eyes.
In a hoarse voice, he continued, "We don't need your help. Please stay at the hotel and do not leave. It will be over soon, I swear on Yamata no Orochi's name."
The matter concerning Tokyo Bay involved Yamata no Orochi's greatest secret, the Takamagahara.
According to the European hybrid's "Abraham Bloodline Pact," all hybrids with a high dragon blood ratio are under strict monitoring or even imprisonment.
Japanese hybrids, on the other hand, don't trace their bloodlines to the Four Dragon Kings but to a higher being, the 'White Dragon Emperor.' This makes their bloodline naturally unstable.
If exposed to European hybrid families, the entire Yamata no Orochi could be considered an extremely dangerous existence.
Because of this, Gen Chisei had to hide the truth even more. If it was discovered by the Cassell College, it would mean that the greatest secret of Yamata no Orochi would be exposed right under the noses of the European Hybrid families.
What would happen then? No one knew.
"It's settled!"
Gen Chisei's firm tone made Adam frown, but he felt there was nothing he could do about it.
"Mr. Adam, please don't make things difficult for the young master."
Although Crow and Yasha didn't fully understand what was going on, their loyalty as vassals kicked in, and they decided to follow the orders.
"Chisei-kun, is this a threat?"
Adam's eyes moved slightly as he stared at him and asked.
"You could interpret it that way."
Gen Chisei's face was emotionless, but there was a hint of murderous intent in his eyes as he spoke coldly, "Crow, Yasha, escort the officer back to the Peninsula Hotel and make sure they are protected. Understood?"
On the surface, it was "protection," but in reality, it was "house arrest."
Faced with Yasha's intimidating figure, Adam could only sigh and adjust his glasses, saying, "Chisei-kun, it seems you don't trust us. But as a friend, I must advise you: the leader of the Oni Clan isn't just declaring war. There must be deeper reasons behind it."
With that, Adam was escorted by Crow and Yasha to the car and returned to the Peninsula Hotel.
After sending off the troublesome "Adam," Gen Chisei no longer hesitated. He immediately contacted the family's internal network and ordered the Japanese server "Kaguya-hime" to forcibly cut ties with Cassel's "Eva," and from now on, to block any information to the best of their ability.
The black Hummer sped down the road.
Sakura and Erii sat in the back seat, while Gen Chisei, sitting in the front, slammed his foot down on the gas pedal, his pupils glowing with a fierce golden rage. "Osho's Pawn. Oni Clan."
A blinding lightning flash disappeared into the clouds, lighting up the shadows in the vast tidal waters.
Countless strange creatures, with human bodies and serpent-like tails, wriggled together in the rising black sea, their bodies covered with blue metallic scales. In the dim glow of the lightning, they emitted a terrifying, dreadful shine, and their pupils gleamed with savage gold.
The entire area around the port was sealed off, and nearly all members of Yamata no Orochi had arrived.
Led by the eight family heads, they brought all the hybrid fighters they could summon, holding various forbidden weapons, standing at the shore, waiting for the impending war to erupt.
"Don't hold back the bullets, intercept all of them!"
Wearing a haori, Tachibana Masamune stood in front of everyone, his sharp eyes gazing at the serpent-like monsters that were getting closer with the tide.
In a deep voice, he said, "Although they are our ancestors, they have lost their humanity and are now nothing but monsters driven by a will to kill. I would rather stain the sea red with blood than allow a single corpse to step foot in Tokyo!"
"Destroy the corpse guardians! Protect Tokyo!"
"Destroy the corpse guardians! Protect Tokyo!"
"Destroy the corpse guardians! Protect Tokyo!"
The next moment, as the serpent monsters, following the tide, were about to surge onto the port, the pre-set machine guns opened fire.
A rain of bullets poured from the shore toward the sea, creating a dense line of fire.
The bullets hit the corpse guardians' tough blue scales, creating dazzling sparks and leaving white indentations. The black tide formed by the corpse guardians seemed to slow down slightly due to the impact of the machine gunfire, but it quickly regrouped, undeterred by death, and continued surging toward the shore.
No, they weren't unafraid of death. The corpse guardians were "dead beings" to begin with—just corpses revived by alchemy.
Next came the second wave. The nearby sightseeing boats launched torpedoes, and the triple-barreled naval guns began to roar!
In an instant, the black sea surface was illuminated by the cannonfire and torpedoes, as if it were burning. Intense flames reached the sky, and the deafening sound of explosions echoed over Tokyo Bay's harbor.
Even so, many corpse guardians continued charging toward the port, enduring the heavy fire.
"Kill them all!"
A brutal close combat battle began.
The hybrids drew their weapons and bravely formed a barrier with their flesh and blood, blocking the corpse guardians that tried to enter Tokyo.
Hundreds of blue-bodied creatures leaped out of the water, slashing with their sharp claws, tearing apart the flesh and blood bodies that tried to stop them.
Large chunks of torn meat covered the port, and thick blood mixed with seawater flowed. The air was filled with the stench of blood that even the sea breeze couldn't wash away.
The sounds of battle and screams filled the air.
Despite this, more and more zombie-like creatures, the Corpse Guardians, were crawling up to the surface, moving in a slithering motion.
The flesh-and-blood defense line built by Yamata no Orochi was on the verge of collapse under the attack of thousands of Corpse Guardians. It looked like it could tear apart any second.
"Honor in death, disgrace in life!"
"Honor in death, disgrace in life!"
"Honor in death, disgrace in life!"
At this moment, shouts, born from the brink of despair, echoed like flames across the entire port.
The head of the Inuyama Family, Inuyama Katsu, a user of the Moment Word Soul, the only one who could match the speed of "Zero Time," was pushing his aging body to its limits.
He unleashed a barrage of sword strikes faster than sound, causing explosions in the air as his blade tore apart any Corpse Guardians that tried to enter his range.
At that moment, the screech of brakes sounded, and a black Hummer skillfully slid into the battlefield.
From the car emerged Gen Chisei, holding the ancient sword Spider Cutter. Like a flash of light, he darted into the brutal and bloody battlefield. As sword lights flew, the defense line, which was on the verge of breaking, was suddenly pushed back.
Then, dressed in a shrine maiden's robe, Uesugi Erii appeared, her wine-red hair flying in the wind.
She casually swung her long, cherry-red blade, causing the Corpse Guardians to split down the middle. At that moment, she seemed like an ancient swordmaster.
Though her technique was clumsy in Gen Chisei's eyes—almost like a little girl wielding a pencil knife—there was an undeniable will to sever in each slash.
She wasn't just using a sword to cut through the Corpse Guardians; she was commanding the sword to destroy them.
With Uesugi Erii's arrival, the defense line, which had been on the brink of collapse, was quickly stabilized, even showing signs of pushing the enemies back.
