to the forest

Gabriel addressed our heroes, saying:

"We've detected a strong demonic aura in the Nitrabonethis Reserve for over seven months. When we sent our forces to eliminate it, none succeeded. Out of fifty warriors from all over the country, only two survived. From them, we gathered valuable information about the demons inhabiting this forest."

He then provided details on the demons, known as the Tree Brothers.

Afterward, he added:

"The ideal team for this mission consists of a knight, two hunters, and a sorcerer. For this reason, we have selected you: Johnson Venta, Greed Rons, Darkhan Reis, and Gyro Drongo."

"Wait a minute—who exactly are the knights, hunters, and sorcerers?"

Gabriel smiled, pleased with the question.

In the Light Guardians organization, warriors are categorized in two ways:

1. By Rank – Higher rank means stronger warriors (though strength isn't the sole criterion for promotion).

2. By Combat Style – This classification depends on physical strength, speed, endurance, magical energy, and combat intelligence.

The categories are as follows:

Knight: A warrior with high physical strength, fierce fighting spirit, and solid endurance. They can also enhance themselves using magic.

Hunter: A fast and powerful fighter with exceptional tracking and stealth skills. They can analyze an opponent's strengths and weaknesses but lack endurance, relying on agility to evade attacks.

Tank: A resilient warrior who absorbs damage and fights in close combat. Always placed at the front lines, but they lack speed and strategic thinking.

Sorcerer: A fighter whose strength lies entirely in their magical energy. They specialize in spells and are divided into:

Damage Dealer: Casts offensive spells.

Summoner: Calls forth spiritual creatures.

Healer: Restores allies' health.

However, all sorcerers share a common weakness—low physical strength.

Sniper: A warrior with decent strength, speed, and sharp combat intelligence. They eliminate targets from a distance but have low endurance.

Deceiver: A rare warrior who relies on illusions and mind control to defeat enemies.

With that explained, the discussion ended, and the mission continued.

"You will be transported to the mission site to begin."

Excited, the heroes boarded a bus that would take them to the reserve. They were sent as ordinary civilians to avoid alarming the local population and to maintain secrecy.

The people living near the reserve believed these demons to be divine beings—legends of a sacred king who protected the forest and its inhabitants. To them, these creatures were holy due to the supernatural feats attributed to them.
