My Son, the Day You Were Born...

Although Ren and his parents had prepared for the baby's arrival, when the moment came, they still found themselves overwhelmed.

The baby's name had already been decided: Ren Chengrui, with the nickname Rui Rui.

In the hospital room:

"My son, the day you were born, all of Shishi Hospital whispered your name—Arthas Rui," Ren said softly, lifting the sleeping baby. He tried to mimic the voice of the Lich King from World of Warcraft but kept it quiet to avoid waking the baby.

Yueyue, resting her chin on her hands on the bedside, watched intently.

"Dad, Rui Rui looks so much better now!" Yueyue exclaimed after observing for a while.

Indeed, Rui Rui's once wrinkled face had smoothed out after a good cleaning, his skin now a rosy pink like a little apple.

"Wow, really? I hadn't noticed." Ren gently placed the baby next to Jada, then ruffled Yueyue's hair.

This made Yueyue squint her eyes and giggle. She continued to stare at her baby brother, finding his closed-eyed look very cute.

"Boop!"

Yueyue couldn't resist poking Rui Rui's cheek.

It was smooth and soft, like a marshmallow. When Rui Rui's lips puckered adorably in response, Yueyue was so delighted she held her face in her hands, exclaiming, "Wow~~"

"Isn't he cute?"

"Uh-huh!"

"Make sure to get along well with him," Jada said, watching her daughter and newborn son, then glanced at her husband with a sense of accomplishment.

"Of course!"

Yueyue puffed out her chest proudly.

In her heart, anyone who would bully such a cute baby must be a villain!

With this thought, Yueyue extended her finger and poked Rui Rui's palm. As if by instinct, Rui Rui's tiny hand grasped her finger.

"Huh?" Yueyue was startled but didn't pull back, fearing she might hurt the baby. She blinked her big eyes in wonder.

It was a strange but delightful feeling, her baby brother's tiny, warm hand holding her finger. Yueyue had never experienced anything like it.

"Wah… wah…"

Maybe Yueyue's movements were too much? Rui Rui suddenly opened his eyes and started crying loudly.

Yueyue was taken aback and looked at her father with worry. "Dad, I didn't mean to wake him up!"

She looked up, her eyes filled with guilt and concern.

"Hehe, don't worry," Ren reassured her, patting her head. "The baby is just hungry."

"Really?" Yueyue asked, still uncertain.

"Of course, look." Ren pointed towards Jada. Yueyue followed his finger and saw her mom breastfeeding the baby.

"…"

Yueyue put her finger to her lips, watching intently.

Seeing how happily her brother was drinking, she couldn't help but wonder if it was really that good. She felt a bit envious and curious.

"What are you looking at?" Jada noticed her daughter staring and asked curiously.

"Mom, is the milk that good? Rui Rui looks so happy drinking it..." Yueyue swallowed and continued, "I want some too!"

Ren burst out laughing.

Jada's face turned red with embarrassment.

It wasn't just Yueyue's request that embarrassed her, but also Ren's presence reminding her of the recent incident where she had to feed him due to a lost bet.

"What's so funny!" Jada glared at Ren.

"I just remembered something happy." Ren chuckled and quickly shifted the topic before Jada could accuse him further. "Yueyue, mom's milk is really good! You should ask her for some."

Then he quickly left the room.

"Really?" Yueyue's eyes sparkled as she looked at her mom. "Mom, I want some too! It's not fair that only Rui Rui gets it!"

Jada was torn for a moment, then…

"Ren… you'll pay for this!" she muttered through gritted teeth.

...

Since Jada had a natural birth, she and the baby only needed three days in the hospital before they could go home.

When Ren drove Jada and Rui Rui back, his parents and Yueyue were already waiting eagerly at the door.

"Dad! Mom! You're back!" Yueyue's cheerful voice rang out as she ran towards them, with Little White following behind.

Though she called out for her parents, her main focus was on her baby brother.

Rui Rui had his eyes open now, his sleepy, confused gaze meeting Yueyue's as she made funny faces at him. For some reason, this made him smile, showing his toothless gums.

Yueyue was enchanted by her baby brother's cuteness.

However, Ren's mom wasn't happy. "Alright, Ren, get your wife inside. She just gave birth! She can't be out in the cold!"

Realizing this, Ren quickly ushered his family inside to the warmth of their home.

But soon, Jada and Ren's mom had a disagreement.

"Mom, I really don't need to do confinement," Jada said, waving her hand. "I have so much work at the company. They need me."

"That's out of the question!" Ren's mom protested. "Everyone else does it, why shouldn't you? What if you get sick because you didn't do it?"

Yes, the argument was about whether or not Jada should do postpartum confinement.

Jada felt it was an outdated practice necessary only due to the poor conditions in ancient times. Modern technology made it unnecessary.

But Ren's mom believed it was crucial for helping Jada recover physically and mentally during this key period.

It was a clash between the old and new generations' perspectives.
