The imperial garden laid blanketed in a pristine layer of snow, transforming the landscape into a serene wonderland. The air was crisp, and each breath formed a small cloud of mist that dissipated quickly in the cold.

In the midst of the garden stood a solitary pavilion, its elegant structure seemingly untouched by time. Inside the exquisite framework was the emperor reclined on a luxurious sofa, the cushions draped in rich silks and velvets. His golden eyes, the pupils like molten amber, were hidden from sight, veiled by heavy eyelids that suggested a moment of deep contemplation or rest.

'This marriage was undoubtedly a mistake, your majesty.' The sight of the empress's glare and sharp tone flashed before his mind once more.

''.....'' His lashes trembled slightly before his ears twitched at the faint sound of dragging feet, probably through the deep snow outside the pavilion.
