Such a Pity

The moment Celia exited through the banquet hall doors, she let her rigid frame slump and brought her hands back to her face.

Walking though a hall with the grace of a goddess was all well and good, but her head really was killing her. The pain had made her eyes water and she could feel the mixture of tears and blood dripping down her jaw and making her itchy.

Celia stool still for a few moments, head tilted back and pinching the bridge of her nose. She'd always been somewhat prone to nosebleeds so she knew the bleeding would staunch itself fairly soon.

All she wanted now was some time alone to clean herself up and tend to her pounding head. She didn't think it was likely, however. The king had sounded ready to throw Tobin out of the banquet himself if he didn't leave on his own volition.
