Chapter 106 Turmoil at the Party 7

"Mr. Gu, Mr. Qiu, please take a seat over here," the supervisor warmly invited them to the two main seats, and then signaled everyone else to sit in the other available spots, but not on the other side of Gu Kai—that seat was reserved for Shen Ruo.

He himself would just take a seat next to Mr. Qiu.

Shen Ruo, unaware of the supervisor's subtlety, noticed that after everyone was seated, two seats remained to the left of Gu Kai.

To sit in the first one would mean sitting right beside Gu Kai, so Shen Ruo, without thinking, moved to the second seat. The only other person who hadn't taken a seat was Chen Shanshan.

She too, without thinking, headed for the first seat.

As soon as the two of them sat down, the eyes of Gu Kai, Mr. Qiu, and the supervisor fell upon them.

Both Mr. Qiu and the supervisor internally scolded Chen Shanshan for being oblivious and taking Shen Ruo's spot.

Gu Kai, however, was wondering if Shen Ruo so disliked being close to him.
