I pressed the doorbell...Mia and I waited for some seconds...Jax let us in...its been a long time I've been here ...they renovated the house...it looks much better..
We walk down the long pathway that led to the parlour
"oh god"i mutter to myself on seeing Maximillion on the couch with a cup of juice...i don't only have to deal with Leonie but him too...well .why am i even surprised...we all know they are a couple...they fit anyways
I see Jax and Mia heading up the stairs..
I stylishly try to follow them without being noticed by Maxi...but who the hell am i kidding
"aren't you gonna say Hi Clare...you know its rude of you to just go in like that"maxi says i turn to see him on his feet already
He bites his bottom lip...Gosh.that's disgusting...he is nowhere cute...he comes closer and i can feel his breath ..save me God...save me...we are too close...too close.. why can't I move
"aaaaaahhhhhh"we hear a scream from the kitchen...we both rush there to see Leonie sucking on her hand..a knife stained with blood on the floor
"what happened baby"maxi says cupping her cheeks, i roll my eyes.
"i was trying to peel some potatoes for dinner but i cut my self"leonie whines
"let me see baby...let's dress this up" maxi says...i scoff ...to think that dude was trying to make a move on me
"hey you...peel the potatoes and fry it"leonie says to me
"don't bother we would order pizza or sushi"maxi says i roll my eyes...whether they order anything or not i'm not going to cook for them
"did you just roll your eyes at me"she points her finger at me...just then the doorbell rings...hmm..today must really be my lucky day...they both leave...maybe to get the door who cares
I look through the kitchen window..something caught my eye...it was a shadow of something i cannot describe.... I rub my eye in case i'm not seeing clearly...i open it ..its gone... I must have been hallucinating... Right?
I turn to leave when i heard a knock on the window...i turn to see Federick...what the hell is he doing here
I open the window...while he lets himself in
"what are you doing here frederick"i ask
"I came here to see you...surprisingly ..my dad called to say he would be back in the next 9 hours... precisely....so i decided to come here since you'll need someone to watch your back..."
"wow you wont believe i.."leon cuts me shut we didn't even know when he entered
"what are you doing here Federick '' Leon says sternly...he sounds furious ...they both glare at each other...is there something I'm missing or something they are keeping from me...whats with the bad blood and attitude ... generally tonight.
"uhm..Clare invited me " Frederick says...leon doesn't seem to be satisfied with the answer...he walks up to me...but his gaze is fixated on Federick
"did you bring it"leon asks...oh shoot...i forgot his gummy bears ...how stupid of me
"oh...im so sorry leon...it slipped my mind" he nods
"hey guys.."we all turned to the direction of the voice…
"Donald ?"we all say at once...what is Donald Daniels ...the science genius doing here
"more like the science nerd"frederick says...wait..did i just say that out loud...i guess i did
"you guys look like you all just seen a ghost"donald says
"what are you doing here man"leon asks
"i came here for a juice box...leonie directed me here"he says
"no silly what are you doing here ..in my house"leon asks calmly now...he seems more relaxed
"...ohhh...Emily and i were chatting...she said she was coming here...and i asked if i could tag along she said yes and here i am"
"since im here we both can go to your house ..we'll come back later before your mom comes back"frederick says to me
"she's not going anywhere"leon says as he holds my hand...wait did he just hold me hand...this must truly be a dream...what do i do now..i need to choose...my best friend or my crush
We hear the doorbell ring again
We all go to the parlour waiting for the person ..as if i knew...Emily and Indrea...the nightmare sisters..that's what we call them...indrea is also a cheerleader just like leonie..while emily is an art nerd who looks down on people 'cause she has won many art competitions.. I don't blame her, she's good.
To cut the story shut, I'm in a room full of bullies…
Emily should stop staring at me like that...she has a thing for frederick..but he doesn't like her...she thinks frederick and i are together but we are just friends... Indrea has a thing for Leon...the dude doesnt give a fv*k
..everybody's practically crushing on someone they can't be with
I go upstairs to look for my sister...i left my phone with her...Mia and Jax were playing board games in the second living room... upstairs
"Mia my phone.."
"here dont distract me...i'm about to win"she says
I grab my phone...
The lights flicker twice..and switch off...total darkness... It switches on again...that was weird...darn I need to pee
I think i remember the way to leonie's room...i turn the door knob a little as I hear muffled noises ..."oh my gosh"...donald and leonie making out..what the hell...this life is so fvc**d up ...leonie is cheating on maxi…
I thought donald had his eyes on Emily...but what do i care...im just gonna use leon's bathroom...is that appropriate?...ill use jax's...i head to jax's room
I notice leon's door was slightly opened...i hear voices too ..hmm..it was so tempting to enter ...but i won't give in and eavesdrop
I enter jax's toilet...there is a touch of blue everywhere...i'm done..i wash my hands and then the lights go off...."argh...it must be a power outage"
"YOUR EIGHT HOURS COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN"
I hear loud and clear..."ugh?"I pick up my phone ...turn on the touch.. What the hell was that where did that come from?
I head back to the living room using the touch from my phone 'ouch' i bump into someone
"leon?"i ask
"hey Clare..ohh...thank God ya with your phone..my phone died..I must have forgotten to charge..."he says...i look up to see Indrea and Leon
They must have been the ones talking a while ago
"let's head to the parlour where others are"..indrea says...we all head for the sitting room
"i never knew your house could talk ...when did you install it" i ask leon
"you heard it too?"we all stop on our tracks
"leon what do you mean i heard it too?don't you know" its starting to creep me out here..we continue walking
"im being serious...i never knew my dad installed anything like that in the house"he says..
.we got to the living room...i'm happy i saw my sister...everyone was here...i take a look around carefully once more
"where is leonie?"maxi asks leon...we all look around
"and donald?"emily asks
Should i tell them....but since the power outage...shouldn't they know they are meant to gather here with us or something
"don't you guys have a standby generator"frederick scoffs
"we do ... i dont know...its supposed to turn on by it self.."leon answers
"and also what does your house mean by 8 hours countdown has begun"maxi asks
"i have no idea guys...lend me your touch Clare...i'll go to the basement to see what's up with the generator"leon says
Immediately we heard a loud deafening thud..upstairs and then someone screamed...
"ahhh what was that"indrea says..we all look at the direction the sound came from terrified
