Something New and Mysterious

Chapter Sixteen:

Past…

Dawn Village, Sofian Country

After seeing Dealla I already knew she still unaware of what exactly my reason to be here and I'm glad to know it.

"What's funny?" Wafi suddenly asked me.

"Well," I smiled more. "I'm just happy to know that Ms. Griffith doesn't have any idea why I'm here."

"You mean, about the artifact that you're looking for?"

"Yeah!"

"Why did you say she had no idea why you came here?"

"Just a guess. Because she really thought that I was here because I was looking for some clue about Siara and that was I also said and she believed it."

"Well, if that is the case. Then, we can search this whole Village without interruptions."

"Yes, you were right!" I agreed. "And as soon as I find the artifact, I can easily find Siara's reincarnation."

"But using that artifact needs some sacrificial."

"I already knew that that is why I left Mau at Sky City to take care of it while I'm gone."

"Uhm, you were prepared for it."

"Of course! I am with one of the best explorers, I'm sure we can easily find that artifact."

"You're kidding me!"

"Come on! You are the best explorer, Wafi. That's why I called you to be with me in the search because I know you know the ins and outs of the ancient city better." Because Wafi Keir is much older than us, he came from a pure blood Vampires though he was the only one who decided to live amongst the human world to be normal like them and can explored the unexplored countries that he cannot do if he stayed with his clan. Even if his father was against it, Wafi stands to his choice and left his family without their blessings. And for centuries, he became a well-known explorer not in mankind but for all the Vampire Clans. That everyone respected his achievements even if his father, whom neglected him at first, became proud of him.

"Alright!" Wafi answered. "Enough of praising! Let's just hurry before Ms. Griffith team reaches our first target."

"Alright! Let's go!"

Present…

ADS Flower Shop, Sky City

"That's a good idea." He turned around facing me. "Then, can you help me of something else?" he suddenly asked me out of the blue and it seems this time he doesn't mean about the flowers, he means something else.

"What is it?" I asked even though I had a doubt.

"Uhm," he came closer and said in a low tone almost a whisper that only I could hear. "That's it." he said as he stepped back. "And I hope you won't tell anyone about it, it is for your husband only. Okay?"

I don't know but there was something mysterious about the thing that he just said. "Okay, I'll tell no one beside my husband."

"Thank you! I'll be glad if he heard that news." He was excited about it. "Anyway, I have to go. Bye!" he said and left.

"Shuki," Alena approaches me afterwards. "Where's Mr. Reinhardt?"

"He has left."

"But why so sudden? And, did he buy some flowers?"

"No. He isn't."

"Why?"

"He…" what is the right thing to say? I think of it yet I couldn't think any excuse. So, I secretly sigh then, "Just wanted to thank me about the flowers that I arrange last time."

"Really?"

"Yes." Then I shrug. "Anyway, where's Deal?" I asked when I didn't saw Dealla with her.

"She's still at the phone outside." She answered. "And I think it is something serious when I took a peek on her from the window."

"Maybe it is about the team that she went with. Anyway, let's go back to work and let her be."

"Yeah, right!"

From the outside…

"The truth." Dealla answered. "And he will do anything just to make you tell the truth about Siara."

I clearly understand what does she mean and Redmond had no idea of what happened to Siara after her death. It was only me, Dealla and Norward, my mentor and my uncle, knows about it, it isn't because I don't trust him enough to tell him the truth it is because I wanted to protect the last will of my love. Siara wanted something that we didn't expect from her to ask.

"Mond, I'll tell you the truth after we got home." I said while I'm looking at him.

"Don't worry I do understand why do you need to keep it from me."

He answered that I nodded then I turned my gaze back to Dealla. "Will you protect my wife?"

"I'm her protector ever since that day and with or without your words, I will always protect her no matter what it takes." She sincerely answered.

"Thank you."

"No need to thank me, Shuki is my best friend. And I do care and love her." She answered before leaving us alone.

I close my eyes tightly and take a deep breath before I open it. "Mond, I have a favor to ask you."

"What is it?"

"Can you spy Kanik for a while?"

"Yes, I can."

"Thank you."

"No problem." He spoke. "Then, I'll go ahead."

"Yes, please." I said before he left.

I look back and see my wife working at the shop and it took me a while before I decided to come and approach her.

Meanwhile…

I was too busy arranging the flowers that had been ordered online that is why I didn't even notice that my husband was already standing by my side.

"Oh, God! Haimon!"

"Sorry, did I scare you?"

"No, I mean… I'm surprised. What are you doing here in this hour? It is too early for you to come here and you supposed to be working at this hour? So, why are you here?" I surprisingly asked him.

"Well, I canceled everything just to see you." He spoke.

What?! That's new, how come he canceled all his works just to see me? What was he thinking?
